Hey guys! @Justinsalas93
back for my AAC Takeover! Once getting to the climbing zone we pack up and begin the approach. For me, as a visually impaired person, this can be difficult at times, especially when the area is particularly heinous. From holes to talus, to death falls, the approach can be very mentally taxing at times. Of course, over time I get used to the area by memorizing patterns, but building the mental toughness necessary to climb in some of the coolest places on earth can be some of the best training I could ever ask for. I almost always let those in my crew go before me so I can listen to where they walk and have them talk to me about what's coming up in the next several steps. I also use a trekking pole like a cane to feel out the terrain and guide me safely to where I need to step next. 📷 @krisugarriza.

We all want the pleasurable things in life. But an important question to ask ourselves is what pain do we want?
We want to be successful, but that doesn't happen unless we learn to appreciate the uncertainty, the risk & the repeated failures that form part of the process. What defines our success is not what we want to enjoy, but rather what pain we want to sustain.
One of my favorite quotes is by Vince Lombardi: "The man on top of the mountain didn't fall there". If we want to get on top of the mountain, we have to want to climb it. If we want the benefits of something, we have to also want its cost. If we want the reward, we have to also want the struggle to get it.
Our struggles determine our success, so choose them wisely.
I'll never let go, @thatfriendlydude
For those wondering, this is the iconic "Titanic" boulder in Squamish. 😜
delicately working his way up Lounge Act. It’s been so cool to watch him make progress bit by bit I’m positive the next visit it will go!
Fixed line success! Hanging shit tons of feet in the air while surrounded by rocks with my camera in hand IS WHAT I LIVE FOR. My legs only went numb for a short bit, and my little make shift foot strap worked perfectly. You guys, some sending went DOWN and I am really stoked to share my shots with you! Yay climbing! 📸 @jasonchristopher80

Good morning, Golden Colorado! A beautiful climbing session with Riku, practicing my quickdraw hanging and clipping. Today was my fourth time sport climbing outside, 3/4 times being in the last 4 days! I am so grateful to have had such wonderful teachers and partners during my time in Colorado! Onward! 🙏🏼 🤙🏼@sarah.chase.fountain
