Pretty sure this is what I looked like when Canon Australia asked if they could use on of my photos on their homepage! Big smile on my dial and hair a bit crazy from the excitement! Check out my IG story to see which one has been featured 🤗😊🤗😊
These two don’t play alone often. They’re 5 1/2 years apart and Gwen, who’s between them, plays with both in their own little pairs. Tonight, though, during her soccer practice, they found a woolly bear caterpillar and chatted, and Johnny squealed and was SO proud to share something with William. And now “Fuzzy” lives in a spinach-filled (we Googled) habitat on our kitchen island. ☺️#siblinghoodlove #letthembelittle
My friend, Jocelyn, has an iPhone X that she used exclusively in Croatia (she forgot her Fuji!) The cameras on the X are so good, especially the front selfie cam! Now I want one. #shotoniphone7plus

Throwback to one of my absolute favorite photos from last year. North Carolina (especially the Charlotte area) has the most beautiful Fall of anywhere I have ever seen. 🍁🍂🍃🌻
💰 tip: do the American fall sunday. enjoy the day at the pumpkin farm. pet the animals. but purchase pumpkins at a curbside pumpkin stand on drive home. five pumpkins and two squash for the price of one pumpkin at said fun commercialized pumpkin farm. 🎃
Looking for the fall foliage but it's not quite there yet!
My view on the way home from Nashville. Lake Michigan looked like an icy wonderland. Luckily it is still too warm for ice...for now. 🌊❄️☀️ 319:365
Nighttime in Nashville. That is one crazy fun city! The first picture is the organized chaos before the light went green...and then everyone crossing in all directions and me photographing it. 🚦 318:365
Trying to practice some rim light with one of my beautiful friends...in an awesome red dress. A red dress makes everything better...I think she has convinced me that I need to invest in a few just to spice up the everyday! ✨💃🏻 317:365
I remember when it hit me, the painful ache of realization that my babies are growing so fast and I’m hardly in their pictures. My youngest just turned 2, and when she climbed up into my lap, she made it clear that not only had her vocabulary grown, so had her body. Suddenly I didn’t remember how I missed that her legs had gotten this long. She’s much more understanding and thinks of questions that make me laugh. •
I feel that same ache as I write this post. But now I’m also thankful that I have pictures of me loving on her at the age she is. “They’re only little once” stands out to me now more than ever. Now, I can remember how small she is at this age, even as she continues to bloom. •
What are the moments that you had that made you realize something like this?
Have the best Wednesday ever!
The last week has felt a little like this... walking zombies... 😂
I have watched several videos this month about the way people with dyslexia think. Dyslexic people are creative, outside the box thinkers. The dyslexic brain can see the big picture faster than a neurotypical brain, which means they can make unique connections faster. So many people who have made a mark on this world are dyslexic. Charles Schwab, Steven Spielberg, Walt Disney, Albert Einstein, Tom Cruise, Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Agatha Christie, George Washington, Thomas Edison, and Leonardo DaVinci are a few. I can’t wait to see where this guy goes. .

We've spent the last 5 days in this magical city❤️ ...After walking 4-5 miles a day w the slowest humans ever, I'm feeling equally recharged and drained.
I just love my families! They are a joy and a blessing!
Ok, so I am so sad that I have to write this but without going into details on why, I apparently must.
Yes, I am a Christian.
Yes, I do read the Bible.
Yes, I do pray.
YES, I DO PHOTOGRAPH SAME-SEX WEDDINGS.
I believe love is love. There is so much anger in this world. If two people find the greatest gift God has given us not only will I be over the moon to be there, but I will work hard to make it the best day ever.
Because I believe in a God of love. I believe it's my way of showing I am a child of God, by capturing love. All forms of love.
So if you want photos of a dog because that’s your baby, and you want to celebrate? Yup.
Family pictures, no matter what that family looks like? YUP.
Two people getting married, no matter their sex, religion or the color of their skin? Y!E!S!! This wasn't my first same-sex wedding and I pray it's not my last.
I just want to be clear:
If these things bother you, I am sadly not your fit.
If you're reading this and thinking "What's the big deal?” or "Not an issue for me,” then when we meet you will be greeted with a big hug, and we will laugh and I will do everything I can to make your time with me and your LOVED ones memorable. I would LOVE to be your photographer.

Cold and rainy weather definitely didn't keep D from waiting for the trash trucks. If anything it was better because Daisy got to wait and watch from the front door with him. He made sure to give her the play by play when they stopped at our house. 💕♻️

This gorgeous creative new mama asked me to find a unique location for her maternity shoot. While this location and session was outside of my comfort zone, it also pushed me to grow into a new way of thinking about locations, shooting times and themes of my sessions. And I absolutely loved it! .
Do you have a unique idea for your session? I'm open to it! Let's bring it to life ❤️ 📷
