‘Be thankful for what your body can do and how far it has come’ - that’s what I said.
That is what I tried and still try to do every single day. That is why yesterday I stayed the whole afternoon in bed crying, feeling sorry for not being able to take a step without pain, not being able to sleep for one whole night either because I can only feel my bones pressing against each other or I wake up covered in sweat. Not being able to walk without feeling breathless and tired. I didn’t even go to the market this past Sunday for my fortnightly banana restock because I knew I wouldn’t be able to complete the journey and carry things.
I have stopped taking pictures of myself for weeks now, because I don’t even recognise my face without cheeks. I can’t even stare at my arms and legs filled bruises and haematomas. Even holding a cup of warm water while siting down makes my legs bruised. The only positive thing in all this seems to be the fact that my broken arm is still holding on.
People have looked at me during these past weeks and admired my ‘abs’, my ‘fitness level’, my ‘strength’. People have met me and said how joyful and positive I was. What they don’t know is that even though I smile at them and just laugh, deep down I am crying and just feeling more sad about my body.
If you are reading this, sorry for the negativity, friend. I don’t care about anything but to be healthy again - normal. Which I sadly know it won’t happen in the near future.
I said since the beginning of my account that I am real and honest with everything I share, and it’s getting hard, yes. I am still hanging, yes, but… I won’t much more. I’m reaching my limit and I do know what will come.

So here it comes a quick and easy recipe because all you need are the ingredients.
1 cucumber, 4 big red tomatoes, 2 globes of garlic, 5 small jalapeños, 1 red pepper, 1 tsp of extra olive oil, 1 tsp of vinegar
Optional: 2 tsps of flaxseeds to make it more nutritive!
Toppings: carrot spaghetis, cucumber spaghetis (I used one specific machine for both)
Serve it cold!
