We are delighted to announce our new selection of Rwanda Coffee 🇷🇼 which is from Nyabihu Region, Western Rwanda, Bourbon Variety 🍒. The producers of this exceptional coffee are from collective farmers where the coffee is grown at 1800 to 2200 masl ⛰ and surrounded by steep greenery hills and deep misty valleys which provide a natural water resource.
After the coffee cherries are picked, sorted and then they are floated in the water 💦 . After that, the collected batch goes through washed process where both coffee cherries 🍒 and mucilages are removed from the beans before it is fully dried in the sun raised beds where the wet parchment coffee is picked over to remove defects that are especially apparent in the still-wet parchment.
The coffee of Rwanda, Nyabihu 😃 has a lot of excitements in terms of roasting. In particular, the bourbon variety grown at great altitudes lend to a crisp yet balanced brightness and long sustained sweetness. As result, the cup was juicy at the first cupping with more potential for filter roast then in espresso roast and we explored bright apricot jam flavores full of sweet citrus 🍊 notes of light green lime and orange peel that is folded with 🍮caramel hints. ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ #TEL #Mar2018 #TheBaristaDance
