For almost three years now, I have been filling the walls of #Florentin
neighborhood in Tel Aviv with my art work in order to create a #street_art
museum open to the general public, without the need to buy a ticket or organize in advance.
At an early stage, I wanted other artists from Israel and abroad to be a part of this project I created, so I started offering them to join the project.
believes like me that coming a full circle has added value. For her, #Florentin
neighborhood is more then a #street_art_museum
. It is the closing of a circle that began ten years ago.
That's what she had to say after she joined my project: "I painted these works in 2008. They were inspired by the move from the Kibbutz to Tel Aviv and following the life at Florentin neighborhood where I lived for about a year, which was the most shaping, developing, experiential and teaching year in my life. Florentin for me is liberation, coming out of the bubble, noise, mess, beauty, breaking limits, old vs. new, home and freedom of expression. I loved and hated living there at the same time, and today only the sweet memories of how amazing it was stayed with me.
It was important for me to put the works there because it feels like coming a full circle. Now, a decade later, I still feel at home when I'm at the neighborhood.
With these works I was accepted to "Shenkar" academic institution to study fashion design, which also was an amazing, empowering, constructive and unforgettable experience that made me who I am today." Many thanks 🙏 for sharing your story and joining the #Street_Art_Museum
🖼️ , I'm sure we'll cooperate together in the future!
