¿Y si llenamos todo el mundo de colores? ¡Hay tanto para colorear! 🤭🖍🖌🎨
Hanging up finished pieces is my favorite part!
We live in a pretty incredible part of the world, don’t you think?

Over here, just home after an evening out with friends, feeling appreciative that I’ve chosen to surround myself with folks who are generally cool with the vast array of lifestyles in this world, and am popping in to remind you to vote well and compassionately-minded. Please, oh please. Thank you 💛
It's not only in the New York where you can find love...

"Somebody to Love." 12 × 12 acrylic canvas, inspired by Queen's song by the same title. Detail shots in second pic.
Freddie Mercury was bisexual. While this is more widely known than it was even a few years ago, a lot of folks still mis-identify him as gay because his last partner when he died was a man. However, the bulk of his estate went to his previous partner Mary Astin. I haven't watched previews yet, and I will go to the film myself to find out, but I've heard rumors that the upcoming "Bohemian Rhapsody" glosses over this important facet of his life. I use this example often as an illustration of the erasure of bisexual and pansexual individuals-- how we are labeled or seen only by the gender of our current partner. I painted this piece specifically with the colors of the pansexual pride flag. Because no matter who one dates, loves, or crushes, the core of our being remains the same. Whether we are single or partnered, we are human, and we are whole. Don't erase us. ...
A gift for a dear one. @thewanderingsam

Let’s meet Stephanie Hock @stephaniehockart
- •What one fear would you like to conquer?
My fear of making kraft mac & cheese. I love to cook, I make rolls from scratch, pizzas from scratch and give me any twelve step recipe and I succeed. But for some reason, to the detriment of my children, I always mess up this one-box-wonder (forgot to drain the water before I added the cheese! Forgot to add the butter and milk!) Someday, I’ll beat you, kraft mac & cheese...
•If you could have any view from your back porch what would it be?
The ocean, hands down. I find the waves so soothing. When I stand next to the ocean, I feel so small and it puts all of my worries and stresses in perspective. I feel like the beach is a treat for every one of my senses—the salty smell, the sound of waves crashing, the visual beauty of all the light bouncing off the water, the feel of my toes in wet sand… I’ll even deal with the taste of the saltwater I accidentally swallow if it means I have the ocean for a backyard.
•What would you most like to do for someone else if you had the money and time?
I wish I could pay for all young mothers to have nanny breaks. Raising young children is so wonderful, but also exhausting to be needed so much of the time. I would love to give these incredible women spaces to just be themselves for a little bit, to only think of their own needs and fill their own cups so they can go back to their families feeling full instead of empty.
These photos are of some of the art I'll be bringing. The personal photo is of my family at Wrigley Field. We're huge Cubs fans and love to travel and watch baseball games. This summer we took our kids to Wrigley for the first time and it was magical.
Thanks Stephanie!! Follow her at @stephaniehockart

I wanted time to stop, but now I’m feelin’ all the excitement for the holidays! I’m ready for the trees, the trim, and all the gift wrap! Recently received this surprise gift box with the new Brightening Eye Cream from @olay

Lilies and daisies for this sweet custom. Had a lot of fun painting this round, and was my first time painting lilies (and I love a challenge). I feel so thankful that you all are trusting me with these sweet gifts. Orders are filling up really quick for Christmas already and I’m working hard to get caught up! If you would like your own custom or pet portrait check the link in bio or shoot me a dm. 🤗

Co-Presidents! Did you know #Smarties
is co-led by these three rad women? 🙌🙌
Stopping here. I think it was Hemingway that said he always stopped before he became stuck so he was excited to return to his writing. Excellent advice for creatives. I’m feeling excited to return to this painting tomorrow.

, What’s something that you like, but might be a bit embarrassed to admit? I’ll share a silly one from when I was little and one that’s more current (and more embarrassing)!
When I was little, I used to love pulling my baby sisters hair with my brother. We actually made a game out of it where we would take turns pulling 1 hair at a time and whoever pulled the hair that made her scream lost the game. I promise we were good siblings though! LOL
Currently, I eat a bite of sauerkraut every single morning. My excuse is that it has probiotics in it but I actually just love it!
YOUR TURN! Let me know something you like but might be embarrassed to admit!!!!
Tiny buds, long stems, and land preparing for summer; my HARU shawl reminds me of the spring I'm missing at home. 🌱
