Remember when we reported on Siempre Bruja, Netflix's upcoming Columbian drama? Well, rumor has it that the new 10 episode series will drop 1 February 2019. The show centers on Carmen, a woman who lived in Cartagena in 1646 before being burned at the stake, condemned as a witch simply for love. According to the official Netflix release, she is reborn in our present day thanks to a wizard, and must get used to a new way of life. The series will be comprised of 10 one-hour episodes shot in 4K.
Siempre Bruja also stars Verónica Orózco and Dylan Fuentes, is directed by La Esclava Blanca's Liliana Bocanegra (who was also behind Celia, the dramatization of the life of the Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz) and her La Esclava Blanca partner Mateo Stivelberg. Ana Maria Parra, who has worked on La Nocturna and Cuando Vivas Conmigo, is the head writer. The series is produced for Netflix by Caracol Television.
