Nic here. Getting my #thomasmerton
fix this afternoon. One of my absolute favorite authors. Found this bit particularly striking today...
“Our idea of God tells us more about ourselves than about [God].”
Ughhh. Yessss. Love me some Merton!!! 💛
We love celebrating with our grads! 🎓
When the Lord led me to this Scripture this morning, I had a 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 time!
What’s your favorite Bible passage that gets you through tough times?

:') To carry it all, I had to pick up a backpack from @co2_boutique.
Growing up I never understood why parents got all emotional when talking about their kids growing up, starting school, moving out, etc. Now that I’m an adult I understand it completely. Children won’t always want to fall asleep in your arms, come to you for comfort after a rough day, or laugh at your silly faces, so you do all you can to embrace the short timeframe of their life that they do! Remember that every stage of life is a gift. ✨ Let me help capture the moments that you will never get back with your little one(s). This little guy celebrated his first birthday recently! He’s full of personality, shares lots of smiles, and is ON THE GO! I’m sure his parents are treasuring photos like this one now that he’s on the move!💕🤱🏻
One-of-a-kind sale!⚡️ 13.5” x 15.5” and made of wood rescued from a 1926 home in the Cleveland Park neighborhood of Nashville. $150 shipped to the lower 48, first DM (Instagram only) gets it!
🤦🏼♀️Most people in life are should-ers.💯
They should do this. They should do that. They end up should-ing all over themselves.😂
Don't be a should-er.🙅🏼♀️
🔑Be a DO-er!
💕If you're being called to do it. Don't overthink it. DO IT. Trust me!

My second blog post is up! I wanted to share my personal time management tips with you, especially if you’re in a similar situation as I am of balancing school and a hobby, job, or extracurricular activity. Managing a full-time study schedule while working on calligraphy has been challenging, but it’s been a worthwhile journey learning how to be more productive with my day. Give my post a read and let me know if you incorporate any of them into your daily routine! (Link in bio)

The teacher never talks during the test. For even in the most seemingly insignificant seasons, God knows. Be immensely patient. One day you will look back on this season and know you are truly blessed not because things were perfect but because you found THE PERFECT GRACE. Job 6:11 “What is my strength, that I should wait? And what is my end, that I should be patient.” Be faithful in noticing what He is doing all around you. Even in the waiting. God’s time table is always better than ours. The choice is ours either we humble our lives before Him and surrender or He will humble us. Do not be afraid of the wait anymore. God will give you beauty for ashes. Here’s the key: you have to let go of the ashes before you can receive the beauty. If you don’t let go of the old you cannot receive the new.
Isn’t it amazing how one day someone walks into your life and you can’t remember how you ever lived without them?! // How gorgeous is this shot by @ashleybenhamphoto

She’s a beaut. Through & through.⠀
Had a meeting with this lady yesterday. We spoke big dreams out loud & let someone else enter in and hear them all. We were met with words of affirmation & encouragement to take action. I’m positive neither one of us stopped smiling.⠀
God was working in every moment at that table in La Colombe.
Hi, this is me. I had a branding shoot with the brilliant @bekahkay
and I knew she was amazing going into it (it’s why I reached out to her and hired her, duh) but I’m honestly so blown away by the previews she sent me last night.
I hate hate hate being in front of a camera, so much so that I told her going into the shoot that I wanted maybe 2 photos of@me
that I could use on social. I went in like “I need some flat lays and styled shots and images with my hands doing things, me working, etc.” ...but Bekah worked some magic here. And I found out that what happens when you work with a brilliant portrait artist for a branding shoot is that you not only get the photos you asked for, but also dope portraits on top of everything else.
Thank you, Bekah, for working with my scattered mess of a head and getting why I bought a latte and a black coffee in order to mix the perfect blend of brown. Thank you for capturing all the cozy, coffee-y, flowery, and artsy weird Script + Vine vibes. 🖤 Baltimore, DC, etc peeps—this is your lady!
This collection of essays made me feel like @bitchesgottaeat
was speaking directly to my soul. I was laughing like a maniac in public. I feel like I’ve made a new friend.
Humble enough to know that I’ve got a ton of flaws and I’m not perfect. But I’m wise enough to know that my heart is pure and my soul is as beautiful as they come. 💕
Say this to yourself: “I am beautiful as I am. Weaknesses and strengths.”
They make who I am and I embrace them. There is not one single body that is more beautiful than the rest.
We are all equally beautiful. 💕
The things I used to be so insecure about, are the things that people compliment the most, or never even notice in the first place. The things I just so happen to love about myself, people will hate on. When people see growth, you will always find those who come around just to put you down. So be confident enough in yourself to brush the nay-sayers to the side✌🏻
I think there is nothing more beautiful than a confident woman. Someone who is comfortable in her own skin, despite what others think. Women who share their struggles and how they’ve overcome them to become so confident in themselves inspire others. It helps other women realize that they too should feel confident in themselves, no matter their shape or size. 💕
What do you love about yourself?
Is it your curly hair, your kind heart, or maybe your personality?
Comment below because I’d love to know✨

This month, I learned that the origin of my client’s name ties to the word “peace”. Peace in love and work and relationships. Her name IS her business name so, subsequently, I became familiar with 4 flowers that notoriously symbolize peace: Apple Blossoms, White Poppies, Wild Basil and Violets. Excited to see how this hidden symbolism may show up in her final brand! 💛
"Brand yourself or someone else will" is something one of my mentors told me early on in my career as a brand strategist and business coach.
Here's the key question: What do you want to be known for? Perception is KEY and you always have the ability to change perception through experience regardless of the niche or industry you are in. YOU have control over how you put yourself out to the world.
Don't be afraid to stand out because being YOUnique in a sea of same-ness is going to be your key to success.
So be BOLD, brand-builder, the world is waiting for YOU!🙌

Late night (morning?) hangs with friends justifies the bucks... at least for today. 👌🏼🤩 ☕️
So to be really transparent with you all, we’ve had a lot of really hard things hit us in the past week that have left us kind of wanting to just crawl under the covers and stay there for the indefinite future, honestly. Death in the family, unexpected huge financial expenses, having to leave our truck 11 hours away to get fixed and then having to make an additional trip out to Nashville to pick it up (not a quick trip, by the way 🙃), etc.
Something that I’ve been reflecting on during this time is that sometimes life is just plain HARD. And it feels like one thing after another is just piling on top of each other and you can’t catch a break. Can anyone else relate to feeling this way at one time or another? I think it’s truly pretty inevitable to hit times like this at some point, unfortunately.
However, how we react to these things is entirely up to us. We could sit in a corner (or hide under the covers 😜) and wallow in our sadness/frustration and that would pretty much get us nowhere and definitely wouldn’t help any good to come out of the situation. Or we can choose to get on our knees instead and spend time with God expressing that sorrow/frustration and allowing Him to draw us near and help us walk through it. He wants us to allow Him to hear our struggles and help us walk through them.
I think in the past I have many times allowed myself to just get caught up in the struggles and spent more time being frustrated or upset and not spending time with God just letting it all out and inviting Him into where I’m at right in that moment. But, inviting Him into those moments and allowing Him to walk those struggles with us is truly the best thing that we could do in ANY given situation. So this week, we’re choosing to not wallow in things that we can do nothing to change, but simply prioritize inviting God into these situations and watching how He will walk with us through it all. He can bring good out of even the situations where we feel hopeless and have no idea what to do next. Honestly, ESPECIALLY those situations, which is so encouraging to remember. Who is with me this week, friends? ❤️
Trying to capture the holographic unicorn! It turns from white to blue to hot pink!
I know many of you have been anxiously messaging me and texting me asking to see what exactly I have been working so diligently on with @swishnclick
I promise I will have some sneak peeks soon, but I thought I would share a sneak peek from my phone of yesterday’s shoot!
Many of you have been wondering what we were working on and I really can’t reveal a whole lot yet, but yesterday I accomplished a huge goal and dream of mine (as well as my team). Yesterday we put together the most epic and bad ass Harry Potter themed styled shoot! It was based entirely on the Slytherin house and the darker elements of the Harry Potter series. 🐍⚡️💚🖤 I cannot wait to share these images, but I have big goals for this shoot and even bigger goals for future shoots. We’ve got a whole bunch of epicness coming your way and I can’t wait to see this come together! We couldn’t have been able to pull this off without our incredible team of vendors and our amazing model Kaley Elaine Gross! Thank you all for pouring your heart into a project that meant so much to us! Sneak peeks will be coming soon, but I want to take my time with these edits.
This was the invitation suite I designed for the shoot! I’m very proud of how they turned out and absolutely in love with them! 💚🐍 (I will be posting more and tagging all vendors so stay tuned!)
Yesterday was A DREAM! Not only did I get to learn from some of the greatest photogs in the wedding industry at #thegatheringevent
but I actually got to meet and have one on one convos with my two wedding photog idols 💙
Caroline & Annamarie are a huge inspiration in where I want to be in life and my career. My heart is so full of joy and motivation to keep hustling even harder than before!
P.S. - Happy Birthday Tristan! I’m so glad I was able to spend these last 4 days with you & @victoriaisabelphotography
(not pictured 😞) thank you ladies for your hospitality and friendship! Love you 😘
Oh hi 👋🏼 ! Take me back to the weekend and exploring @magnolia
with the hubs in Waco, TX! Out of everything I could’ve bought there for home decor we bought succulent babies! If you know me I don’t have a green thumb and finally found a plant I can’t kill 🤦🏻♀️ LOL!
Walking on sunshine. 🌈 — But everyday isn’t full of it. Some days, I feel more aligned with storms, thanks to anxiety. Anxiety is my enemy who I don’t know if I’ll ever fully defeat. I just posted my go-to natural coping strategies for dealing with anxiety both physically and mentally on the blog. ❤️ Link in bio.
I am beyond thankful that I had the opportunity to be part of the @morethanyouraverage
Fashion & Profession panel at @chocolateholler
last night! Mya did an amazing job putting it together! These women inspire me so much and just being around them for one evening has me feeling so empowered today, like I can go out and accomplish anything. Lexington just has the best sense of community and I’m so glad God planted my life here! 🌱💛 📷: @spaceplaceandgrace
Someone once told me to be careful with my expectations of what my calling was. They said that I may *feel* called to ministry, but that ministry was hard, it was casting seeds you didn’t know would get rooted. It was a lot of work, it was exhausting, and it wasn’t making a lot of money. I was absolutely discouraged because I was afraid maybe I wasn’t called. What if this thing I prayed for was completely wrong for me and I’d never find my calling? I was so discontented everywhere else. What if I just as uncomfortable in ministry?
But y’all, I can genuinely say that I’ve never felt more like I’m living out my purpose as I do in ministry. The thing is, yeah all of those hard, exhausting things are true. But it’s just so worth it. I’ve never pushed myself as hard as I do in ministry. I’ve never been so in sync with God as I am now. I’ve never asked for more the way I do here. I feel like a new person, one living out her full potential with confidence. Wow. Just thank you to God for providing. Even my worst days in ministry exceed my best days at every other job I’ve ever had.
Realists are great and all, but God’s purpose exceeds those back-to-earth comments. Don’t settle for less than what God calls you to. Realizing the dream is worth the work and the wait. And y’all, I’m not even done dreaming yet.
