Now that awareness has risen over processes that can be manipulated to exclude & marginalize, we must remain engaged with the entities that abuse them. If we don’t, they will only create new methods. We can then return to it’s true essence, a process that is reflective of our evolving consciousness & purpose. We must ensure the survival too of those comprised by this ever changing tide & ensure their inclusion moving forward, otherwise they’ll stand to halt it’s natural progression. Humanity is our greatest resource & when we lose sight of that, it’s key to our greatest destruction. We must invest in one another.
Humans haven’t evolved beyond their biology & fear is the greatest catalyst for action. We can actually attribute our evolution to fear. The most paranoid species often survive. We can see how it’s leveraged in the political arena. If people aren’t in fear of something, they don’t act. If you can harness the volatility of people’s fears, you may yield great power. Hope doesn’t operate in this manner. It’s slower to act on, i.e. hoping you didn’t leave your water running at home versus fearing you did may produce 2 different responses entirely.
In politics, fears are either amplified or suppressed, seldom addressed. Only love, compassion, & action can heal wounds & with the increasing polarity, that becomes more challenging. Those newly engaged with this democratic process must remain engaged because the next obstacles were conceptualized far in advance & they affect us all.
If you chose not to participate in this process, I respect your decision. I’m sure you’ll participate in a manner you feel relevant. I know there are many methods afforded by our democracy to pronounce & defend what you value most.
To those that think their voice doesn’t count, there’s people counting on you to feel that way. While you feel isolated & scarce, your numbers are great & your collective dormancy is required by those whom intend to limit the basic rights & opportunities afforded to all people in our democracy in favor of arbitrary communities.
While some may claim their vote wouldn’t count, fewer claim theirs didn’t. Inclusion’s a helluva drug!
