Hitting the road for another adventure! 🏔
And celebrating my birthday with Presidents Washington and Lincoln this three-day holiday. Happy Weekend🎈🎉
Don’t let the uncertainty factor hold you back. Don’t let a lack of confidence stop you from pursuing what you really want. Go get it.
Be adventurous this weekend! Don't sit around doing nothing, don't watch Netflix all weekend, don't watch IG stories of other people doing fun things...do them yourself! That’s what I’m doing! I’m taking a quick four day get away to Vancouver BC. Don’t have solid plans, drive up kind of on a whim, booked a hotel at midnight last night, and I’m gonna grab some Coffee Crisps! If you know...you know haha 😉 I digress lol but be adventurous!
I got 99 trees but a birch ain't one.
Looking back at photos from my Canadian Rockies trip, I stumbled upon this gem.
The Athabasca River flows from the Columbia Icefields Glacier, over these falls, and eventually empties into the Arctic Ocean.
Glad to have been here in late spring, with the river flowing at its peak!
My adventure crew through and through. Even though there is currently 400 miles of rugged Alaska wilderness between us, I can still feel your presence and love with me. I miss you so much, but I know you’re doing great things for the community of Togiak. I mean I get you for the rest of my life, I can at least share. 💑🐕🏔🐕💑
-5°, surrounded by mountains, on a boat dock that was breaking apart and almost made us go under; it was fun 😅
A very young Arctic Fox kit, photographed on St. Paul Island, Alaska. While many foxes roam the vast tundra landscape of the island, some foxes choose to live in the city. This fox (one of three siblings) and it’s mother were living on the edge of a seafood factory in town. The kits would occasionally step out to have a look around, but with one call from their mother they would scurry back into the cover of the containers. While it is nice to photograph the foxes in their natural environment, I feel that photographing them in this man-made environment tells an interesting story of how the foxes have adapted to their altered surroundings.
Icicles are a beautiful thing.
Seeing as I started the week with a reflection and I went skiing in Snoqualmie last night, I may as well end the week on a reflection too! Here’s the result of a busted sunrise at Gold Creek Pond back in December when I resorted to finding comps with reflections in the water as a light snow fell and everything was still and quiet - I definitely wasn’t complaining
Lil drone clips from today at the falls... I thought it’d be fun to do it in portrait mode but now I just have borders 🙄 anyway enjoy 👯♀️
Over the last few months I have cut way back on the time I spend on social media and have been spending more time living life, going out having fun, adventuring, creating memories, etc. After all, that's what it's about right? Put down your phones, get off your computers and go experience life, make some memories. It might be difficult at first, social media can be addicting, but you'll get past the point you worry about it and you won't regret making the move. I used to go out hiking, take pictures and then couldn't wait to get home to process some images and share online, I was missing the real "picture" I used to spend way too much time every day on facebook, and now I post about once a month. That opened up so much more time for life. I post more often on Instagram, but that is quick and easy and takes just a couple minutes out of my day. I hope you're all having a great day, go make some memories.
