Frost on the trees brings a quiet breeze. ⠀
Who else loves to hike when its cold and still?
Joel and I went on a 10 mile strenuous hike to North Dome - the end of this Rick was the ridge ( our end point ). The views were breathtaking to say the least
Hungry for adventure with a side dish of exploring ✌🏻🗺👣🗺✌🏻

Moody mornings in Wells Gray
The most scenic road trips we have taken have been the detours we never meant to take. Getting lost on the road is the best. Try it sometime, you never know what your going come across.
Breakfast with a view part ✌🏼
Although Descend was definitely the highlight of our trip, other parts of Oregon stole our hearts too. Smith Rock was one of those places. With those jagged rocks jutting up straight to the sky, we felt like we were in another world
Our days living here are beginning to draw to a close. Our little house near the woods.. with the stream just a hop, skip and a jump away down the lane. Having these places on our doorstep has been so enriching for us all, and has saved my sanity on many hard days. Because we basically live in the middle of nowhere, we’ve very rarely encountered anyone else at these places.. they’ve felt like ours in a way and revisiting them over and over.. becoming familiar with them at every kind of day, light, mood and weather.. noticing how they change with the seasons week by week has been an experience of grounding and connection for me. One that, as someone who naturally inclines towards flitting about rather than staying put, I’m grateful to have had. A thick bundle of memories to tie up with with string. When I’m an old lady I’ll ask them to take me back here, these children of mine. Perhaps my body will recognise the metre of time itself in the half forgotten way the water rushes and then lingers over the stones. As if it too can’t quite make up its mind whether it wants to hurry forward, lag behind or stand still. I’ll step out from under the trees, grandchildren scampering around me, out into the light and feel the years fall away.
Life is like a landscape. You live in the midst of it but can describe it only from the vantage point of distance.
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
My face when I’m listening to Christmas music 🤗🎶 .
What’s your favorite Christmas single?! 🎄
Mine is Jingle Bells Rock 🤘🏽🎶
Feeling good and well rested after a couple nights away ✨ This week is stacked with fun events and I’m looking forward to the next!
This day was another one of those solo road trip adventures without a set schedule. I had a big list of things I wanted to see, but left my plans pretty fluid.
There's always more things to see or do. The important thing is to make sure you enjoy it, not to rush through the experience 👍🏼
PS: The hike between all ten waterfalls was gorgeous even though it was raining ☺️

Is it a proper van gathering if someone doesn’t get stuck?😛 Luckily helpful hands are right there to step in to get you out and on your merry way!
Found a bar of Dr. Squatch growing in the wild. Typically forged by waterfalls 💧
Can’t wait to get into the snow covered mountains... snowshoeing season is just around the corner.

it's basically still summer out here
Found a little hot pool located just on the edge of the fjord. If you plan a trip in the Westfjords, I highly recommend this spot. Relaxing at the end of the day and enjoying the midnight sunset was an amazing experience.
Who wants to join us? 🔥
Some days I must admit, I just don’t know what to say here. -
Here is a cool sunset pic. 👍🏼
Taking it all in❥
One of the best parts of Descend was checking out all the different vans, and seeing how each person tweaked and tailored it to their own unique personal style and taste. An amazing place to share ideas, learn and get inspired
