You’re cruising along in your diet, doing everything right, but yet the scale just will not budge. It’s insanely frustrating 🤬, right?! Well, there’s a chance one of these six reasons could be why.
❌Liquid Calories: the calories in soda🥤, fancy coffee ☕️, alcohol 🍺🍷, and more add up REAL quick.
❌Portion Size: you may not realize it, but incorrect portion size could be adding hundreds of calories to your day. Half of a small avocado 🥑 is 105 calories meanwhile half of a large one is 180 calories. Hard to tell by the naked eye 👁, though so beware!
❌Condiments: I love Ketchup 🍅, BBQ Sauce, and dressings as much as the next person. Unfortunately those calories still count! Be careful when piling these things onto your food
❌Sneaky Fats: more easily controlled when cooking at home 🏡, fats like olive oil and butter are used heavily at restaurants. To help at home, try cooking sprays!
❌Taste Testing: we’re all guilty of trying our food when we cook 👨🍳. Once again, those little bites here and there still count as calories!
❌Sharing Food: much like taste testing, trying bites of food from your significant other 👫 or friend’s meal can add up quick. This is especially true if they get multiple courses!
