For my Givers..
I know you've probably heard this phrase multiple times throughout your life, but I need for you to actually HEAR it.
You can NOT, I repeat, you can not pour from an empty cup.
You're giving 40+ hours/week to your boss.
You're giving your evenings to your spouse.
You're giving your children anything they ask for.
You're cooking. You're cleaning. You're running errands.
You're constantly giving to your family, your friends, your coworkers, your community.
But, what are you giving to yourself?
- Unneeded stress?
- Lack of sleep?
- Loss of self?
- Subpar health?
- Poor self worth?
- No ambition or direction?
Who even are you?
What do you like? How do you unwind? When was the last time you had 2 hours alone to do WHATEVER you want to do?
It's time you make yourself a priority in YOUR OWN LIFE. Do you want to be an amazing mother, a loving spouse, and a thoughtful friend? Put yourself first. Make time for self care. Fill your cup.
Body Balance Revolution starts THIS Sunday and I'm so pumped to teach my ladies their worth! I'll be guiding them toward a life of balance and self-confidence. I have one more spot available, DM if you want it!
Comment below and tell me what do you do to fill your cup!
We're SO proud of our youth and their canine companions who graduated last night by showcasing what they learned in their ten-week @ctcorps
course. During the ten-week course, Lawrence Hall youth work with their partner dogs on progressively advanced obedience and agility. The program follows Canine Therapy Corp's award-winning curriculum developed to improve communication skills, anger management, self-esteem and self-awareness.
A big thanks to all of our wonderful trainers who work diligently with our kids from Canine Therapy Corps! #EmpowerYouth #CanineTherapy
Lay down the foundation for success that children can build upon. Do you agree?
Check out that confidence ! First time asking him to jump across like that! Can’t wait to start working on agility training with this guy when he’s older 😍
Thursday evening reflections...
🌟🌟🌟 F U R R Y T A I L S 🌟🌟🌟 Everyone meet beautiful Rosie the #shihtzu
I first met Rosie about 2 and a half years ago she was brought to me for a pamper. Rosie was a but nervous with being groomed, especially around her face / eyes with scissors. We have built a fabulous relationship over the last couple of years and after her lovely owners bringingbher for regular pampering sessions she now loves it. I fully scissor all of her face with ease. She trusts me and I trust her. Her confidence is amazing 👌😍 so proud of her and how far she has come in the salon! She's like one of my own fur babies!! #furrytailsgrooming #doggrooming #shihtzu #groomtime #spaday #funtimes #happydogs #beauties #love #fluffy #prepwork #blowdry #freshtrim #confidencebuilding

If you are a girl/woman of colour 13+ get yourself to this fantastic event that my friend and MUA @tysbeautyuk
is holding in December at Nexus Art Cafe in the NQ. Young people of colour are often overlooked and even as a blogger I'm often disappointed at the lack of diversity at events.
Danniella is starting something incredible and I can't wait to work with her on future events. When I started my Life Coaching course it was always with the aim of using it to coach young girls the importance of confidence and self love.
Head to @tysbeautyuk
and click on her 'events' highlight for ticket details ❤️.
Positive affirmations are great for young kids. It helps them to create a positive and supportive belief system thus developing their confidence and self-esteem. I will share 5 that I really love ♡ I am kind to all ♡ I am important ♡ I am unique ♡ I respect myself and others ♡ Life is fun ♡ 📸@immeiko
My eating habits were ABSOLUTE shit.
Throughout my childhood, I NEVER ate vegetables. I didn't understand the point.. I remember telling my mom, "But if I eat those, I can't eat as much ______" (the stuff I really wanted to eat)
Looking back, I didn't really eat much.. and what I did eat was lacking. My diet consisted of boxed macaroni and cheese and hamburger helper, ham sandwiches, lays potato chips, and candy.
Alot of the time I had to fend for myself as a child, so I went with what was quick and easy. It was just what I knew. I used to make a mean mac and cheese 🧀
I never really thought it was a problem for me as I never struggled with my weight. That is until I began learning about nutrition and how the body worked.
Because I had an ideal body weight for my height and age, I thought I was "healthy". Boy was I wrong! I was depleting myself of all necessary vitamins and minerals.
I was often tired and suffered from brain fog. I was unable to pay attention or concentrate for very long before I got distracted. I was constantly sick. I would suffer from headaches and had severe digestive issues.
It was my normal.
It was all I was used to.
I didn't know any better.
As I started to delve into all things nutrition, I was absolutely committed to finding what HEALTHY meant to me.
I started making simple changes and began feeling tremendously better. My symptoms were gone. I figured it out.
You see, I didn't jump from diet to diet and hoped it worked. I didn't need that, I was searching for optimal health. I wanted to take control of my future.
Through years of mastery, I found what works. Even more, I unlocked a whole other level that I didn't even know existed. Combining both nutrition and mindset can cause a complete lifestyle transformation that works from the inside out.
All it took was a choice. A choice to start. I didn't know all the answers, I barely knew the direction.. but I didn't give up. If it's something you really want, you WON'T give up.
I'm so grateful for my 20 year old self. The one who wanted to live a healthy, thriving life. The one who decided to go against the grain. The one who created her own path.
It hurts. Feels better. Destroys you. Then you’re good. And then brings you to your knees. Once you surrender and are ready to heal at all costs, you know there’s only one way up
DAY 4: HOW FULL IS YOUR JAR? 💎 How are you finding the challenge so far ladies? Have you felt any resistance to taking time for yourself? What are the excuses that keep popping up? I think today’s challenge could help. Today I want you to focus on ways to fill yourself up with love. When your metaphorical ‘jar’ is filled with self-love, you will no longer seek external experiences/people to fill up your jar for you. You recognise that you are already whole. That the more you shift the focus back on yourself, the more self-love you accumulate & therefore the more love you have to freely & openly share with others. Here are 5️⃣ways to help you along your journey:
1️⃣Start a gratitude practise: Recognise everything you’re grateful to have in your life & log it in a Gratitude journal.
2️⃣Release expectations: Happiness is an inside job, no one can do it for you. Release the expectations you hold onto others & allow yourself to make yourself happy instead of placing that responsibility on others.
3️⃣Stop comparing yourself: You only dim your own light. You are a unique gift & blessing to the entire world around you. Instead view the people who have what you want as an inspiration that if they can have/do it then so can you.
4️⃣Forgive yourself: Once you forgive yourself, you allow love to flow freely. Forgiveness is wishing the past could have been different. All this does is steal your joy & happiness from the present moment.
5️⃣Set some big dreams: Allow yourself to dream again. Dream big! Dream about everything that inspires, motivates and fuels you. Dream about the life you’re destined to have. Get really clear & map out a visualisation board. I’d love to know which ones you’re trying out today? Let me know by posting a picture and using the # 7Days4U Remember that everyone who enters by submitting photos during the challenge is automatically entered into the draw for a massive giveaway at the end of the week 💖❤️✨
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR CHILD IS PUNCHED IN THE FACE
Ideally, you don't want your child to be hit in the face... it's not what parents hope for, for their kids.
But, given how things can be, it's better to make sure your child knows what to do should they be confronted with the situation as opposed to not knowing.
It's all preparation, and giving your child the best chance to be safe, happy and healthy growing up.
The idea of this strike, INNER STRIKE, is to use the energy and the power of the person striking and redirect it from its target (being you or your child... whoever is being hit) and steer it off to the side so that the person hitting doesn't get hurt, and neither does the person they're trying to hit.
This strike is so much about timing, and practice is absolutely essential.
So grab your child and practice this with them!
