I’ve been working on this portrait - the son of an old friend - and I can’t get over how much of her father and brother I see in him as I study his features! Family resemblances are so amazing! Check out my “story” above to see a progression of the portrait.
I stumbled across the photos I took of Baby Catherine for this portrait and had to share in a side-by-side with her portrait! I loved the pale pink, the lace, the bonnet and of course those cheeks! Isn’t she precious?!
And sweet sister No. 2! These girls are both so strikingly beautiful and remind me so much of their mother, who I first met at about their age! Stylish, spunky and a little mischievous like their mama and so much fun to work with! .
I loved to see them whispering and giggling and pinching and teasing each other during the photo shoot! My sister is less than two years older than me and their playfulness just reminded me of what a special bond they (and my sister and I) will always have! What a fun age to capture!
