for more cool tech!
There’s a new robot 🤖 monster in town. That robot is called Kuratas and it was designed by Kogoro Kurata, a Japanese 🇯🇵 artist with a huge love ❤ of robots. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Kuratas stands over 13 feet tall and can be completely controlled by the user. So, think Pacific Rim. Just, uh, a bit smaller. Not that small, though. The robot weighs 4 tons 😲, complete with its own cockpit you can step inside of.
Powered by the AE “V-Sido” control system, the robot can be controlled and can interact with Kinect technology and 3G data service. You can completely customize Kuratas however you like. “(Kuratas can) hold a squirt gun as a firefighter 👨🚒, paint a body camouflage as a ranger in the jungle, give a mop and a cleaner as a home 🏠 cleaning robot,” the company explains. Pricing begins at USD $1,353,500, 💰 with additional charges for “weapons,” cockpit amenities, and parts including a carbon shield or radio 📻 unit.
Would you spend that kind of money on a robot? Let us know in the comments.
