Make sure you add: 'watch a Coorong sunset' to your 2019 bucket list. ☑📜 There's plenty of things to do down here that'll keep you entertained right up until that orange glow hits the water. Where to begin... .
is such an unique and iconic part of South Australia - a must see destination no matter who you are. And while you're here you'll get to explore the home of Storm Boy. (FYI - if you're unsure where to start, try one of the Storm Boy inspired tours below).
Take the kayak for a relaxing paddle, you'll come across areas only accessible by boat - an opportunity to stretch your legs and explore the sand dunes, wildlife and untouched scenery. The team behind @canoethecoorong
has plenty of knowledge and experience hosts a swag of guided kayak tours. In fact - Brenton from the team even took this photo. 📷
Or, if you prefer a leisurely cruise, with experienced locals, try @cruisethecoorong
These guys will show you around some of the Coorong's hidden gems, those you can't access by car! Travel from the lagoons and loop around Hindmarsh Island - the choice is up to you!
And if you've missed it, we've got some of the best Coorong experiences summed up in our Coorong blog here - check it out: https://bit.ly/2somgYN .

I've just returned from the most wonderful overnight adventure on The Coorong! Feeling grateful for the freedom I know I am so lucky to have, the wild and beautiful places and the renewal they bring. 🙏 I'm also in awe of how well these eco print pillow cases have lasted, dyed with Kangaroo Island botanicals almost a year ago and in constant use since (handwashed only) I am only now considering refreshing them with new prints. Oh and I came home to a little pile of bundles to unravel, can't wait to share the results with you tomorrow!
It’s been real being back home in the South East, but it’s time to drive home 😊 this beautiful sunset over the Coorong was a beautiful way to farewell my home country.
We had the most amazing tour through the South Australia’s #coorongnationalpark
The sites were breath taking and it’s always moving when you get to visit sacred native land.
Thank you #SpiritOfCoorong
for a great day!
Moving to the other side of the world was the most challenging thing I have ever done, but the best thing I have ever done. I miss my family dearly, but they visit us and we visit them at least once a year. Allowing myself to be scared and vulnerable and travel Oz alone brought me to the most gorgeous man and together we have a wonderful son. 👪
Oceans apart, we are destined to be together 💛
The two loves of my life. Nothing like laying out on the sand, watching the sun set, sipping wine and making memories. 😍 Harvey ran around us in circles for hours and we loved every minute of it. •
And obviously the best sunnies from @livingontrend_
I must say the #canonm50
takes amazing photos, it's small and maybe even my 3rd love 📸 #takemetoaustralia
These waves may fool you, they were so big and so aggressive but the sounds they make when they hit the shore 😴😴😴😴 •
Harvey had no troubles falling asleep to the sound, and neither did we 😏 Thank you #coorongnationalpark
for a wonderful family getaway, we will see you soon 🙋♂️🙋♀️🙋♂️ #takemetoaustralia
One of my New Year resolutions is to be more "go with the flow". I am a planner - I have a plan that has a plan to plan (usually). But 2019 is going to be my year to stop being so in my head and focused on what's going to happen in the future and be more present, in the moment and spontaneous! 💥
Unfortunately the wind came in as we were setting up camp last night and we needed to take refuge (or chance losing our awning) so the new 2019 spontaneous Dan booked us a room at the @waikerie_hotel
WOW! Such incredibly nice genuine people to help us! You don't know how much you miss showering until you're not showering 🤣 ahhhhh blissssss •
Have you planned your resolution(s) yet? For the last 8 years Dean and I have written ours down separately and on December 31st we look at them and talk about our goals together. Most of our goals are very similar if not the same, but the important thing is we have written them down and keeping each other accountable. It's never too late to write them down! (Unless its December 30th 😉) Currently reading the book Get Rich Lucky Bitch by @denisedt
and I am manifesting some lucky shit to happen in 2019 🤩
Have to admit, we LOVE us a good nap! This has to be in my top 3 best all time nap locations 💭 It's not number 1 because those bloody sand flies like to ruin a good thing and bite every 2.5 seconds 🚫
But the sound of the ocean, cool breeze and Mr Harvey blissfully asleep (just to the right of this shot) 💯 happy gal
What a way to kick off our 2019 year! We started off our trip starting at the Coorong. What an absolute gem of a place to explore, as you can tell Harvey is the true captain of our adventures! 👷♂️
Have you ever taken your toddler on a trip completely off grid? Have to admit I was so nervous before starting our trip, took 2 days of prep work but you never know unless you try! (There have been moments 😑) but overall he has been so good 🙆♀️
