It’s fall break 🍁🎃🍂 I actually have work all day 🙈 so I’m not celebrating just yet.
I knew I wouldn’t want to workout after work, so I got up super early and did my favorite booty workout 🍑🍑🍑 Now my buns and thighs will be burning all day 🔥😂
4th attempt of my plank series.
I held the combination of plank moves for 4.45 mins an improvement of 30 secs from my last attempt. My goal of 10 mins is still far off but I’ll get there with discipline, grit and intelligent training.
This progression in time and core strength was possible because I allowed my body to rest for 48 hrs.
This shows the importance of rest !!!!!!!!!!!
Do you include unilateral exercises in your training? (Unilateral basically means single-leg or single-arm movements). If not, it is a good idea to start.
It may seem obvious but by training your arms and legs individually, it helps you to avoid becoming dominant on one side. In turn this can correct muscle imbalances and improve balance. Not only that, it engages your core a lot more.
Also, I have found it improves my compound lifts. Single I had incorporated single leg stuff into my workouts, my squat has gone up. If you can create balanced strength in both legs, your overall output will be stronger.
Give it a go next time you’re in the gym. Start with these two exercises and see how you get on. 3 sets of 12 on each leg, with a 60 second rest in between sets, should do the trick. #TempsTips #unilateral #bodybuilding
