A yoga session that made me cry, a massage, endless sea views and an evening culminating in Salcombe gin and a menu to die for (I spied duck Ttagliatelle) makes for a very happy Wednesday. Thank you @lizearlebeautyco
thank you @iamlucymoon
for the snap
Look, it’s me in my new poodle sweater pointing at the Golden Gate Bridge. 🙂🐶 🌁🌫
I am in a complicated relationship with myself. Some of us like each other, some of us just want to burn the other to the ground. Why should I be forced to be one coherent unit all the time? I am many, as the aspects of reality are many. Whoever constrains you is a jailer. -
In the off case you feel like you don't get enough of my face, here's me *100
When Jodi Picoult is quoted on the cover, chances are I’ll be desperate to read it. It took me a few chapters, maybe even a handful, but once I was invested I couldn’t put it down. Celeste Ng is a poetic storyteller, who reveals a morally testing drama from the perspective of a collection of conflicting mothers. The mother daughter relationships in this book were challenging, insightful and made for an indulging read. Apparently it might be becoming a TV show... and I’ll be tuning in. #Eppiereads
Lovely Knole in the afternoon sunshine. Quite windy here today, but luckily it blew the rain away that we had on our way there 💨

On Monday, the day after I took this photo I found out that my beautiful boy Alfie is extremely unwell. He’s very anemic and has a tumour which is highly likely to be cancer. He’s not got long left which I’m still trying to process. Our vet thinks it might only be weeks. She’s advised against surgery which we agree on because of his age, high risk of complications and how much he hates the vet. We’re doing our best to make him comfortable with pain killers and all the treats he could ever wish for. 💔
Feeling absolutely huge here, and in general at the moment but I turned 32 weeks yesterday so it’s time to share a bumpie 👶
We’re about to head off to our third antenatal class, let’s hope it’s a more positive session today 😊. Oh, and there’s a little Aldi baby haul up on the blog too. What are you up to this evening?
The first of many photos from my return to the frankly bonkers Portmeirion. A taste of Italy in North West Wales. Peculiar, ill-fitting, unnecessary but I absolutely love it!
If you're ever thinking of going head to the brassiere at Castell Deudraeth first - you get free entry for the village with lunch 😊

Every culture is rich and unique. Within the roots of every nation, there is an incredible amount of makers, activists, patriots, writers, actors and so on and so on. They carry the public voice and philosophy and usually create ahead-of-a-century works.

, I want to introduce you the Ukrainian writer who showed me how boundless could be the world of books.
Lesya Ukrainka is a women’s voice in Ukrainian literature. She also was an active political, civil, and feminist activist. Her play Forest Song was the first work of literature that gave me the push to understand my favorite genre and to love the reading with all my heart. Forest Song is a spectacular drama in three acts. The first draft of this play was written in 1911. It is one of the first prototypes of fantasy in Ukrainian literature. Needless to say, that this play was translated almost into every language and filmed numerous times. There is not a single Ukrainian theatre left where the theatrical performance based on this play wasn’t held. Ballet, songs, motion pictures, cartoons - the Forest Song trail is perpetual.
Lesya Ukrainka is a symbol of a robust Ukrainian woman with a belief in her country's freedom and independence. She was well-educated and knew English, German, French, Italian, Greek, Latin, Polish, Russian, Bulgarian, and her native Ukrainian language. Ukrainka also wrote epic poems, prose dramas, prose, several articles of literary criticism, and a number of sociopolitical essays. But the best she was known for her plays.
She created a make-believe world with strong characters in the form of a fairy tale and inserted a vital message within the lines so it could be understandable for any age and degree of education. This is why Forest Song became my favorite even though I was just a kid. Her every work speaks volumes. You won't find a single city in Ukraine that doesn't have a street, square, theatre, library, House of Culture, monument or museum named in her honor.
She is a legend.
She is a WOMAN.

Now that I have gained the freedom to work for myself full-time, I feel stoked almost daily because by working for myself I am in control of my day entirely! I have more time to do what I want. Obviously I still have to work, but lately I have been finding myself falling in love with the prospect of creating an atmosphere at home that I enjoy! Things like cleaning, cooking, and decorating went from being something I HAVE to do, to something I GET to do! Like I said yesterday, we are feeling all sorts of #blessed
😂🙈💩 But this one area: home-making by far has been the most unexpected joy for me.
That being said- what are your favorite home-making tips?!? I’d love alllllll the advice! #gimme
What’s better than a protea in the house? Three proteas! 🧡💛❤️ (birthday flowers)
"And when the event, the big change in your life, is simply an insight—isn't that a strange thing? That absolutely nothing changes except that you see things differently and you're less fearful and less anxious and generally stronger as a result: isn't it amazing that a completely invisible thing in your head can feel realer than anything you've experienced before? You see things more clearly and you know that you're seeing them more clearly. And it comes to you that this is what it means to love life, this is all anybody who talks seriously about God is ever talking about. Moments like this." #jonathanfranzen #thecorrections #books
Jeju, ile to daje radości!
...No dobra, dopiero w połączeniu z siemieniem lnianym i płynem Lugola 😀

When you have so many things in your head but they come out wrong 🤷🏻♀️ I know what I want for my birthday... sleep sleep sleep!!! 🙏🏼
Not much to report so a few favourite things residing on my table. 3 plants, 1 repotted. A postcard from the Frida Khalo exhibition at the V&A (brilliant if you get the chance to go) and a vintage botanical sketch bought for £5 off eBay 🌿 What’s inspiring you at the moment? #sethstyletable
Oh my gourd, I can’t wait for it to officially be fall🍂🎃
(I’m feelin’ all sorts of punny this week because we like to make puns in my office and it’s seeping into my personal life—which I’m totally okay with because puns are everything).
➵ ➵ ➵
QOTD: are you a fan of puns?
AOTD: YES. PLEASE SEND PUNS IF YOU HAVE ANY.
Phew that’s the photoshoot finished. It would be rude not to eat the props wouldn’t it? #breakfastfordinner
No words for you tonight. Just all the pretty pumpkins to perk up this windy Wednesday.
Okay Mr. 80 Degrees, you can go home now. I’m so ready for brisk autumn weather! 🍁 anyone else?
Well isn't today a lovely autumn's day... 😂 Is anyone else 'enjoying' the storm?
The wind is knocking down everything in the garden. Will our sunflowers survive? 😢
Ummm, one of everything please. My bank account is never free from harm in a deli 🙈
4.20pm, Wednesday 19 September. I just couldn't resist stepping back from my laptop for a moment to take a picture of the amazing autumnal colours outside my window. Not a 'technically great' photo, but with a woolly cardi on hand, the last flowers from the garden starting to wilt on the windowsill, and my favourite playlist on, I'm happy to have captured this moment 🍂
THANK YOU to all the lovely people who’ve responded to the snap poll in my Stories today — I’m a little overwhelmed by the volume of responses so it will take me a while to go through them all, but I’ve been feeling a bit lost on IG lately and it’s so helpful for me to know what you like to see from me. 🙏🏻
And as for this pub, I walked past it in the dark last weekend and knew I had to go back in the daylight to take a photograph, because corner pubs forever. 🖤

Low tide | yesterday, and the calm before the storm. This was literally minutes before the shot in my previous post as the clouds were sweeping in. One of the things that always strikes me about photos of the harbour is how they never capture what it *feels* like to be here, as it’s about the sound as the wind whips through the rigging on each boat. This scene may look quiet, but on a breezy day, it really isn’t. And I realise that this sound is so familiar, it’s all part of why I like being at this spot.
