.. one of my fondest memoires is sitting with and watching my father eating #crab
on our annual vacations to Goa. Watching him savour and carefully eat each piece was one of the most fulfilling moments. For some reason I never tasted crab back then, but I remember how just watching him eat, filled both my stomach and soul.
The first time I ate crab was in my twenties (so many wasted years !!) at #maheshlunchhome
, and it was a tandoori crab. Sweet, juicy bits of white meat that you hunt out of nooks and crannies almost like you are on a treasure hunt ! The best parts are the ones most difficult to get at 😊 Such a fun time. There began my love affair.. and while I have tasted a few preparations of crab, the tandoori one remains a favorite. A good tandoori crab will have the masala only on the shell and the meat remains pure ,white and baked to perfection. When you eat it, the only masala you actually get is what is on your fingers, so each morsel is lightly touched and does not overpower the crab itself. Sheer Bliss!
