A custom cribbage board made of beautiful walnut wood for the Chiefs Quarters onboard USS Louisiana SSBN 743. Requested by the Commanding Officer to gift to the quarters as he departs from this tour. It was an amazing pleasure to make this for my old submarine. Fair winds and following seas to the departing CO and his family of this fine vessel. Hooyah!

Candlepin bowling, cribbage, Allagash beer and an old oil painting of the ocean...can't get anymore Maine than this!
I made this cribbage board on a whim this week to take to the @empirelevel
100 year anniversary party at work last night. I only told one coworker about it ahead of time so it was a surprise to everyone! People seemed to love it. The pegs I turned on the lathe and epoxied our level vials in. They are stored underneath along with a deck of cards by our combo square blades held in place by magnets. It turned out pretty nice! #trueblue

"15 for 2" at Halley's Camps. Camp visitors will be enjoying this custom cribbage board for many years.
Made of durable Richlite which is incredibly durable, sustainable, and a versatile material from paper!
We added a mini lathe to the shop recently to make it a little easier to create our wooden cribbage pegs. The tools it came with were sub-par so we found some quality carbide tips and had some fun creating these mini maple & purple heart handles. Mini tools for our mini lathe. We thought our cribbage pegs before mini lathe were beautiful, but just wait until you see them now! 😍💜
may cut and engrave for us, but that doesn't mean our product isn't handmade.👐 So much time goes into the design, as well as setting up the order things will cut and the bits used for each layer & that's just a fraction of the process. Outside of using the cnc there's also measuring, cutting, glueing, planing, sanding, sanding & more sanding, oiling/waxing, shellacking, steel wool-ing 🤪...I could go on. It's a PROCESS! So even though we have a little help with cutting and engraving our designs, we still pour hours upon hours of time & attention into handling each and every handmade creation that comes out of our shop. And we seriously love every bit of it! 🥰
A special order of almost matching cherry cribbage boards went out to a friend last week. One for her dad for Father's Day and one for her husband for their anniversary!
While building, I nicknamed the one board "The all seeing eye." That grain is so cool!

Live edge Western Cherry Crib Board!
Another unique piece from my grandfathers cherry tree in Revelstoke B.C. It’s easy to get lost in the grain on this one🤯
Before applying the finish & after. It's amazing how much the wood coloring changes. A little oil and shellac amplify the beauty. Once again, it's fun to see how each piece evolves through the process. 🤗
