I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed with my placing in the weekend. That's the competitor in me. She's fierce.
However I am so unbelievably happy with my effort that my heart is content. That's the human in me with perspective. I gave it EVERYTHING. In between the dizziness, nausea and coughing fits, I lifted my heart out! The build up was so un-ideal I dabbled with the idea of withdrawing but I knew ultimately I couldnt control the outcome but what I could control was my effort and I can't help but always give 💯

Tried to go for a new 5RM and failed but I’m not even mad. Last week got 3 reps at this weight. This week got 4 reps. Step by step😼.
All day I thought about doing this #comptrainmasters
workout before my regular wod at my gym. I warmed up, threw my beats in and went at it as hard as I could for 9 minutes and 43 seconds. Is it a good time? (I did 25 not 20 burpees over the bar because I’m not just a master, I’m blonde 💁🏼♀️) No idea as I haven’t recorded anything yet in @comptrainmasters

WALL BALL (BOLA PAREDE) ou AGACHAMENTO PRESS BOLA é um daqueles exercícios que se ama ou se odeia. Segundo Gregg Glassman (CrossFit Journal), "O Wall Ball compreende dois movimentos de levantamento de peso clássicos altamente funcionais, com cargas leves e duração estendida para criar uma ferramenta de condicionamento metabólico super-potente com um enorme potencial para aumentar o desempenho atlético." Esse baita exercício trabalha 11 músculos ao mesmo tempo, gera um grande ganho de força, explosão além de melhorar muito seu condicionamento cardiovascular. Como executar o Wall Ball corretamente:
➡ Mantenha a bola o mais próxima possível do seu corpo durante todo o movimento, mas cuide para não bater em seu rosto. Mantenha as mãos nas laterais da bola fazendo a pegada chegar até a parte de baixo da bola durante o recebimento. ➡ Para realizar um bom Wall Ball é necessário ter um bom Agachamento (treine muito). ➡ O agachamento deve quebrar a paralela. Se você tiver com dificuldade, experimente afastar os pés. ➡ Depois de atingir o seu agachamento completo, execute um movimento o mais explosivo que conseguir para cima usando toda a energia das pernas transpondo-a para os braços para elevar a bola até o alvo. ➡ Quando receber a bola, absorva seu peso com o movimento de agachamento. Suas mãos devem estar prontas e altas para receber a bola. ➡ Mantenha a distância correta da parede. Coloque o centro da bola entre suas mãos e encoste-a na parede com os braços estendidos. Essa é a distância ideal. ➡ Após finalizar o exercício e puder descansar rapidamente, procure deixar os braços relaxados, caídos para baixo para recuperar a força.

Weight loss is a part of my journey. Binge eating is a part of my journey. Educating myself is a part of my journey. Being supportive of others is a part of my journey. As I mentioned the other day, I’m in a challenge at my gym and part of it is a nutrition challenge. Today is the start of week two. I have struggled SO hard the last week. Ruminating on the foods I can’t have, and then eventually binging. I’ve made adjustments to my mindset and my own personal goals for the weeks to come, and for me that will probably include not receiving my points for nutrition. And I’m okay with that, because for me I need to learn how to eat in a way that I feel good and also am not having gut issues again and in a way that I will be less likely to binge. While I’ve learned that I need to work on sustainability for the years to come, what I see in the mirror has proven to be a motivator over and over again. Not just because of the weight loss, but also because I’m learning that I’m fierce as fuck.
The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That’s what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they’ll go through the pain no matter what happens. 💪This guy 👉—Arnold Schwarzenegger⠀

Nobody will protect you the way you protect yourself. No one will love you harder, trust you more, pick you up when you want to give up, or motivate you to be better.
You are nothing without building your own foundation first because at the end of the day when you pour so much of yourself into others and things you start to neglect the most important thing, you.
As an addict I'm constantly trying to fill my "uncomfortable hole", the place that makes me seek out selfish things for tempory comfort.
I learn more and more about myself everyday and it's a slow, painful process, but I know putting it off and replacing the discomfort with shallow desires will only prolong the process of becoming a full and contented me.
I have to trust that no matter what is making me anxious, sad, uncomfortable that within myself somewhere is a healthy coping mechanism waiting to reveal itself. Until that day I'll keep pushing through one day at a time.
