Diney's Chocolate Nut Flapjack Recipe 😍
This flapjack, bulging with chunks of chocolate and nuts, is brilliant for a snack on the top of the fells - a couple of slices each helped us climb Grisedale Pike & Hopegill Head! View the recipe on our website!
Fanfare please... announcing our grand total from our #SongPath2019
fundraiser for two local Cumbrian branches of @mindcharity
With your help we raised an amazing £5,200.28 (£5771.75 with Gift Aid)! Thank you to everyone who donated - and to all our musicians, speakers, venues and stewards. All the money will go to Mind in Furness & Ulverston Mind to continue the amazing work they do with mental health in the local area.
Meanwhile plans are afoot (excuse the pun) for our 2020 season, so watch this space!

Love these evenings sat on the hill above the village with this little girl. Willow has two modes - crazy trig summit party 🎉 where she runs around in circles endlessly. Then she has this side, where she settles down and enjoys the view, she always astounds me how she looks like she is sat contemplating the world whilst perched on top of our little hill.
After three days with a migraine it was good to get out in the fresh breeze and take some time to talk things through with the biggest listening ears there are 😊. My best buddy ❤️.
Still mega humid, but great views on tonight’s run; Low Fell overlooking Crummock...
Never. Stop. Exploring.
Lake District 📍
The title of my latest blog post on my trip to Cumbria is an ode to the quintessential Lake District poem, Daffodils, written by the Cumbrian poet William Wordsworth.
Just moved the cattle and sheep to a new field... we've been experimenting a bit with more frequent moves and having the stock all in together. It works well from a livestock point of view but also sadly benefits coarse grasses like cocksfoot and also bramble... we wouldn't want to have no scrub but we don't particularly need more of it... so we've been busy with the scythe. Weighing up the demands of the livestock and our desire to improve the land for wildlife is a constant source of conversation in our home!

A little bit of kitchen utensil inspo on this lovely Tuesday evening. I love wood and I plan on using as much wood all over the house as possible! The weather has been so unpredictable here today, which is rather annoying as I packed all my Winter stuff away yesterday thinking that summer was actually FINALLY here.

Motivation for training and how to gain momentum; ever lost the feeling of excitement for training? -
If you have, don't stress it. Near enough everyone has been there and will go there at certain times. -
However, more often than not the reason people lose interest and motivation to train is because they stop seeing progress. -
If someone is seeing progress, watching their body and mind change positively then they'll likely continue to do everything that is causing that change. -
When the results stop however, the motivation and interest will likely follow. -
So, how do we keep the interest alive? -
Do everything we can to make sure we continue to progress. And when this is specific to training, we need to make sure we are doing everything we can to continue to progress inside the gym (or wherever our training is taking place). -
And to do that will require frequent bouts of high quality performance. -
And to do that will require taking vital steps OUTSIDE of the gym to ensure we are recovering and preparing optimally for training. -
You can only train as well as you can recover. -
People often see their training sessions as the most important times of the week. And while these 3-6 hours of the week are important the other 162-165 are just as, if not more so, important. -
Do everything you can to make sure your performances are top level, this will bring progression and this will bring momentum. -
Along side this you'll not only keep your spark for training but you'll likely get great results along the way. -
