Yesterday we had Ean’s official birthday celebration, which had been postponed because of the birth of the little one and as I sat there I got a silly idea, watch the video, I would love your contribution! 🥰🥳
I’ve FINALLY gotten sick and tired of being fat and out of shape, really just being unhealthy. I was eating out a ton, eating horribly and my portions were far to large. On top of that I was having a large sugary coffee and an energy drink almost daily. You know it’s bad when all your shirts (which are all XL) are tight and stretch around your belly. But it’s even worse when you’re playing with your kiddos and after a few short minutes you have to stop and catch your breath, and playtime is cut short. I love my girls, and everything I do is for them and their mother. The three of them make me so happy, and I want to be around a long time for them. Which is why I decided to start a workout program to help me reach my health goals. After all, just setting half an hour to an hour aside a day to do a workout at home is completely doable. Sure, I may have to get up a little earlier, but that ok. I always feel more energized throughout the day after a morning workout anyways. I’m also starting a nutrition plan with proper portions & plenty of healthy options to choose from so I know I won’t get bored with what I’m eating. Of course, nutrition is a huge part of getting healthy and losing weight so keeping it interesting makes it easier to stick to it. I haven’t been at it very long and I can definitely feel a difference in my energy level and I know it won’t be long until I can see the changes in my body as well. As a result of how I’m feeling I have made the decision to also try to help as many people as I can. I want people to feel healthier and more energetic, so they too can get out and do the things they’ve always wanted to do. Of course the most exciting part of it all is the thought of being able to play with my girls without cutting play time short.
My thrasher kids waiting for their turn on the half pipe after a good testimony share about the tragedy and hope in Mozambique. I love the lessons and connectionsthe kids are making in @csoceanside
! The kids were in the surf all night then after sharing the gospel they get to skate with their friends. I’m so blessed to be part of a great organization spreading the gospel and strengthening the youth!

has it own cycle of evolution. When we kicked off #dilfclub
with our inaugural group hang out in #terrigal
in September last year my life was very different to what it is now 9-10 months later. I have 1 child in #school
now and my youngest boy in daycare 3 days. Not to mention I’ve taken in a second job now working 80 hours a week.
It is vital to keep the dad movement strong and our support for all dads, that we keep inviting, keep opening the door to new dads, continue stay connected with those dads you made friends with. Even when life evolves or takes a new path.
Dilf Club will always have a natural attrition. We talked about this when we started it. I didn’t realise how quickly it was going to change for me personally.
I finished a 26 hour shift this morning and didn’t have to go to my second job due to the rain, so I was able to do the school pick up. We walked home and had some laughs and talked about our days. I crave this quality time now even more.
For those who have young ones still, enjoy it! It goes too quickly. Enjoy those beach days and hot frothies, the days at the park with the lads and kids.
Keep on truckin! 🚒🤙☕️

Give your kids the foundation to thrive.
I don’t get these moments all the time.
When I do I cherish them as much as I can.
Being a dad has taught (and teaches) me many things.
One of the things that it has taught me, or rather my son has taught me is how to be a kid. To just sit back and enjoy moments and laugh and let go of everything else.
I’m still working and learning on that. As an adult with work, family, money, there are always thoughts that it seems we can never stop thinking.
But you need to let some things go. We can’t control every aspect of our lives and we need to relax our brains and just breathe.
What is it you like to do to just let go and be free?

This afternoon, Mischa talked in her sleep. She said, "bye byyye" to whomever it was in her dream. Then she woke up. Wuht... just happened? 😂

A year of your dough eyes and cute smiles, your crazy antics and awesome dance moves.
This past year you've taught me to be patient 🙏, that no matter how full my heart feels I can always love you more 🥰 and that as stubborn and unyielding I can be, I can be bent to your will with nothing more than a smile 😂
Miss Myla we love you to bits and pieces 😍😘
This guy just had the best birthday week. He got to try knee boarding and tubing for the first time, spend time at the lake with his friends @leannalee5
, fly a helicopter (ride), bumper boats with mom, pool time with friends, watch @lsh196
race cars, ride a dinosaur with @breanna5e
and various mall cars. He was soo good on the 7hr road trip, making his little brother smile when he was crying up a storm. Love this kid. #dadlife #rowancruz #suchabeauty #family
NoShave19 is getting hectic in these streets, might just concede and let @lukayela
take the title. Haha just kidding, never that.
Vacation with my family was so much fun.
Here I’m teaching my boys a valuable lesson about following God’s will and not our own will.
This example comes from John 21:4-6 (NIV)
“Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.”
_ Jesus tells the disciples to cast their net to the other side of the boat. That’s not because he’s an expert fisherman or because he has any inside info on fishy swim patterns (or whatever they call it). He does know those things because he’s God, but that’s not what going on here.
Jesus tells them to cast the net to the other side of the boat because, I believe, he is making a vital point for all of us.
If you’re diligently fishing and the net still comes up empty, you’re fishing on the wrong side of the boat.
Project not working out for you? Try the other side of the boat.
Relationship not working out for you? Try the other side of the boat.
Prayer life not working out for you? Try the other side of the boat.
Whatever it is that’s not working out for you, try the other side of the boat.
Notice in the Gospel passage that Jesus does not say, “Pull your net in and forget about it.” He doesn’t say, “Give up for today and try again some other time.”
He says, quite pointedly, “Cast the net over the right side of the boat
and you will find something.”
When things – any things – aren’t working out for us, it means we’re fishing on the wrong side of the boat. We’re fishing on our side of the boat rather than on God’s side.
I challenge you to cast your net on God’s side and plan for our life. With Him we cannot fail.
As many little one’s enter their toddlerhood years, a common issue many parents will face is hitting. Hitting is a very normal & age appropriate phase for little ones to go through, however it can definitely be hard to manage, especially if your little one is hitting you or other children.
Firstly, please understand this isn’t your fault! Your little one may have never seen or experienced hitting before yet may still do this as a response to something they don’t like.
In the first few years of your little one’s life, you may find that hitting is simply trying to link a behaviour with a response. There may not be any ill intention behind what is happening, yet waving their hand, hitting someone & then mum & dad reacting can be funny & exciting & for some can be scary & uncomfortable. Studies suggest that when your little one hits you & laughs, it is not because they find it “funny”, but more so that this action is triggered by an underlying feeling or emotion & laughing also releases some of the emotions connected with hitting you.
Hitting often is a result of your little one being frustrated or upset & not having the verbal skills to communicate what they are thinking & feeling, so instead, they opt to hit as this is a quick-fire way to react on all those feelings going through their little minds.
Hitting can also sometimes stem from attention-seeking behaviour, where they understand that by hitting someone or something, mum or dad will respond or react & even though this may not be in a positive way, it still fills a little one’s “attention cup”.
It can be hard to know how to respond! We completely understand.
