Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase! . So this is my new favorite from the @calm app! I was SO stressed out about so many things last week... Most especially going on vacation 🤣 (I know... But with a toddler it's super stressful! And it was a family vacation- which means chaos at all times- and without hubby 😬🤷🏻‍♀️). And then this beauty popped up like a godsend 🙌 . Obviously this is MUCH easier said than done, but for me, it made a huge difference. Mindfulness has become such a gift for me. I'm practicing it more and more in daily life without always even (haha) being aware of it! . What's something that you have been stressing about that you could hakuna matata away or make better? Maybe, like me, it's something that would be fun and exciting, but all the what-ifs are getting in the way? Is there a way you could let go of or settle those what-ifs? Maybe it's something not fun or exciting at all, but the stress is still overwhelming the rest of your world right now? And what are your ways of soothing your own mind?

¿Qué es el trauma? ¿Cómo se desarrolla? ¿Cómo afecta a los sobrevivientes y cómo pueden sanar? Este libro responderá las preguntas. Se basa en los 30 años de trabajos clínicos de #VanDerKolk como psiquiatra. Debo decir que este libro es una obra maestra. El trauma no solo es experimentado por el sobreviviente de la guerra o el desastre, la mayoría de los casos se basan en violencia doméstica y abuso sexual, especialmente en la infancia. ¿Recuerdas cómo no puedes olvidar nadar o andar en bicicleta? Es porque los humanos tienen memoria muscular y eso sucede en un trauma. Apaga el cerebro superior que regula la autoconciencia. Es por eso que los sobrevivientes pueden sentir la inmovilización (choque ineludible) y la disociación. La mente consciente olvida los detalles como parte del mecanismo de defensa, pero inconscientemente la experiencia aún persiste profundamente. Las personas con trauma fallan integran la experiencia como el pasado. Están congelados en el tiempo. Sus cuerpos se atascan en el estado constante de tensión y alerta que puede causar sensibilidad emocional y problemas de salud. ¡También es posible que los sobrevivientes no recuerden nada (ya que el trauma está reprimido) hasta que algo los desencadena! Aunque no recuerden bien, pueden sentirse incómodos en su propia piel, no conectados con nadie, o no pertenecer al mundo. Se olvidan de los detalles, pero no de la sensación. Esto es lo que llamamos como #PTSD . Para curar el trauma necesitamos continuar la narrativa, cortar el bucle y crear un cierre. La terapia EMDR y el neurofeedback propuestos por Kolk para ayudar a los sobrevivientes a recordar. Sí, no importa lo que nos dé miedo, ¡debemos volver a visitar la memoria! Después, podemos continuar con el trabajo corporal: yoga, teatro, danza, cualquier cosa que nos ponga en sintonía con nuestro propio cuerpo. Una pequeña cosa como arreglar nuestra postura también importa. Cuando estamos en armonía con nuestro cuerpo, estamos en armonía con el mundo.
