If you care about the environment, then going vegan/plant based is the best decision you can make, with the most effective change coming from it. 🙏🏼 This burger didn't cost an Animals life, and it is better for our environment ✌️✌️ Did you know...:
👉55% of water comsumed in America is for animal agriculture (compared to 5% domestic house is per year).
👉Livestock produce around 116,000 lbs of waste each minute. 👉Animal agriculture is responsible for 51% of greenhouse gas emissions. 👉Animal agriculture is the number 1 cause of deforestation, responsible up to 91% of Brazilian Amazon forest destruction. 👉Animal agriculture takes up 45% of the entire Earth's free land.
👉1 hamburger is equal to two months of showers. 👉Because of over-fishing, our oceans are predicted to be empty by the year 2048.
If you care about our earth, and the children (throughout the animal kingdom) who inherit it, please, go vegan.

Happy Earth Day🌏Grateful for all the beautiful sights we get to see🌿even better sharing them with this beauty😊
We often get questions about diet when working on hormonal balance. Our answer is often quite simple, eat wholefoods and be mindful of your carbohydrate/sugar intake. It’s quite easy to eat adequate carbohydrates so I always suggest focusing on fats & protein, and making sure you get a good source of each in every meal! Here’s a good example of a hormone balancing breakfast: 2 organic eggs (protein & fat), spinach, tomato, avocado (fat), sauerkraut, shallots & olive oil! This meal will keep me full & my blood sugar levels balanced until my next meal. Blood sugar balance = healthy hormones.

Flowers are finally in bloom! Happy #EarthDay
We all know staying healthy on vacay can be tough, but sticking to fresh whole foods is always a good tip for success 🍽 But also guys, always remember that there’s value in treatinf yoself too!!!! 🤤🍫 It’s important to maintain a good balance. Today I maintained a steady diet of fruit and eggs for breakfast/lunch and instead of having a sugary pre-mixed pina colada, I took matters into my own hands by blending up some fresh pineapple, coconut milk, and rum🍍🥥And let me tell you, it was GOOD. Finally, for dinner I had the fresh caught Mahi Mahi with steamed veggies which was UNREAL like I’m pretty sure I died and went to heaven cuz my taste buds are still reeling from that melt in your mouth deliciousness 🤤 BUT I have decided to embrace the Mexican culture and do a little more indulging tomorrow cuz I knowwww it’s important to treat yourself!!! I’m thinking there’s some fried ice cream in my future 😏 Everyone deserves to do it and as long as you keep your portion size under control, one meal won’t be the death of the healthiness you’ve strived so hard to achieve 👍🏻
Happy Earth Day! 🌎
Did you know that you can actually help planet earth by adjusting your diet??? The production of beef and lamb produces 250 times the greenhouse gas emissions as the production of legumes. Research suggests that if the world became vegan, greenhouse gas emissions would be reduced by 70%. (Read the full article - link in my profile). Consuming more vegetarian and plant-based meals is an easy way you can contribute to sustainability and the wellbeing of our planet. I’m not urging people to drastically change their lifestyle, but maybe even just one meatless meal per day, or a meatless day per week can really help the sustainability problem our world faces. .
For instance, here’s an easy vegan recipe that I take to work (or some variation of it) almost everyday:
Maple Tahini Butter Overnight Oats with 🍓 #sundaybrunch
The night before, combine 1/2 c rolled oats and 1/2c plant based milk (I use unsweetened soy milk) and maple tahini butter, or peanut butter, or almond butter, or maple syrup, etc. If it’s a “grab-and-go” breakfast like nine is every weekday, put your choice of fruit in as well. Give it a shake/stir. In the morning, you’ll have a filling breakfast with a decent dose of protein and fiber to fuel your day and keep you satisfied until you eat your next meal (always looking forward to whatever I’m going to eat next #amiright
Nutrition facts: 379 calories, 16g fat, 49g carbs, 14g protein, 9g fiber, 60mg sodium, 309mg potassium, 87% vitamin C, 27% both calcium & iron #plantbased
If you want to learn more about how a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle can seriously help the planet, I strongly suggest watching “Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret.”
Dinner: big ole salad bowl with falafel from the new TJs just add water mix, homemade hummus & Baba ghanouj, roasted cauliflower, zucchini, & bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, dill, red onions, and pine nuts on mixed greens 😍 such a tasty and filling salad - I love combining roasted veggies and fresh veggies 🙂
So I had a #bishdishfail
when I tried to make banana chips today. Apparently you need air circulation in order to get them crunchy (lesson = use a dehydrator) - despite my efforts I ended up with really, really caramelized sliced bananas. Enter in creative thinking...what should I make with this entire baking sheet of not chrunchy bananas?? Ultimately I ended up with making what I'm calling "twice dipped Bish banana chips". I think that it was an an epic (and delicious) save. •
☆ 3 bananas sliced, topped with melted coconut oil, cinnamon and vanilla bean paste; Roasted until soft and gooey in the oven at 200 degrees, flipping halfway through ☆ Dip cooled banana slices into melted vegan dark chocolate + a teaspoon of coconut oil for smoothness ☆ Drop each gooey mess one at a time into a bowl of roasted sliced almonds and cinnamon to cover both sides, then place delicately on parchment paper and sprinkle sea salt on top ☆ Put in the freezer for at least an hour to set - after set transfer to an air tight container and keep in the freezer until your ready to enjoy •
I hope you guys love my accidental dessert as much as I am right now.

So you call yourself an environmentalist, yet you still eat meat?
I don’t doubt you care about Mother Earth, but the truth is, if you eat meat, you’re contributing to one of the worst causes of environmental destruction. Raising animals for food produces more greenhouse gas emissions than all the cars, planes, and other forms of transportation combined. So simply by avoiding animal products, you cut your carbon footprint in half. Keep in mind that a pound of beef requires 13 percent more fossil fuel and 15 times more water to produce than a pound of soy.

I’ve only been vegan for three months and this is the impact I’ve had already! This is so inspiring and makes me want to see how much I will save after years and years of being vegan. This Earth Day, make the decision to switch to veganism if you truly care about the Earth. 🌱
had the best dinner at No Bones! I had the beer battered avocado tacos (1st picture). Crispy fried avocado, creamy cilantro coleslaw, tomatoes, smoky chipotle aioli and scallions. the chips and salsa on the side were also sooooo good. My mom had the Bahn dot com sandwich which had seared tofu, pickled carrots & daikon, cucumber, jalapeño, creamy sriracha on a toasted hoagie (2nd picture). 10/10 would go back (I really wanna try their nachos). Afterwards we went to Full Tilt in Ballard and I got a chocolate milkshake! Didn’t get a picture sadly. The ice cream was coconut milk based and they mixed it with hemp milk. I haven’t had a milkshake since going vegan and it was also 10/10.
There’s ginger crunch and then there’s @gathercafenz

My faaaaavorite! I have tried their other ice creams, but the cashewmilk is by FAR the closest to actual ice cream consistency. I cannot tell the difference, honestly. It’s got less than half the fat content compared to a Ben & Jerrys pint, so it’s got that going for it too! Give it a try and tell me what you think 😋
Chocolate peanut butter smoothie bowl for breakfast! I left the ingredients on my story ☾
Over the past few days I have been stuck in bed with a temperature, a cough, and a super bad sore throat. But... this tea has been the best medicine ever!!! It is honestly so amazing and soothing. •
Step 1 🍋- Thinly slice half a lemon and a small thumb of ginger
Step 2 - Add 1/2 a tablespoon of honey
Step 3 🍵 - Let steep in hot water for 5 minutes
Enjoy the #naturalmedicine
