I love fishing I like marlin fishing but sometimes I find it fun catching flathead in the river I’m born to fish forced to work fishing is like a lifestyle to me #daiwaaustralia #gonefishingday2018
The new 8’6” crab rod from Daiwa proved to be the weapon they promised. For the 65mm crabs it’s my new favourite! Subtle but solid is the best way to describe its feel.
I also found it foot for deep tentatively feeding fish on plastics on day 2. The new LT BLACK 2500 has the finesse to compliment the rod while chasing finicky fish.
The fish were easily found but not easy hooked!

Nothing quite like a aerial Spaniard to get the heart racing 🤙
We are proper proud of our EFTTEX Award Winning Japanese beauty. The 18 Exist LT is cutting edge, stylish, technically sophisticated and full of high performance features. No doubt that is why she stole the heart of voters to land the ‘Best Fixed Spool Reel’ title.
we got the opportunity to take out Kobi, Mekhi and their dad Shane for the opportunity to fish from a boat. This was their first time fishing with ĺures and in a not so pretty day managed a great mix bag and out fishing their dad. Top day and thanks to #daiwaaustralia
for providing the kids with a rod and reel combo each. Top day @trythesherriff
Sunday the 7th of October the sons and I went fishing on the Hopkins River. We arrived in Warrnambool around 6:30am on the water just before 7am first Bream landed was at 7:06am nice legal squeaker to start the day. While I was measuring my fish Matthew hooks his first ever Bream from the Hopkins and a nice one at that weighing 0.98kg and measuring 35.5cm ttf well done. The fishing was going good the weather was cold, windy and raining where was the sun It didn’t take long to hook another Bream and this one felt better a nice 36cm to the fork 0.83kg we where definitely starting to put together a nice bag. At this point Christian still hadn’t hook a fish and the frustration was starting to show as I know this feeling to well and encouraging him to just keep trying was all I could do. As we move along Matthew hooks his second fish weighing 0.61kg 32cm ttf and within a half an hour I hooked my third going 35cm ttf 0.80kg by 9am we had five fish in the bag with a nice weight of 3.61kg upgrade time this is easier said than done as it started to slow down and the bites seem to be gone. While Matthew and I where tying on new leaders as the snags where fighting hard we look over at Christian who looks to be snagged as well but no he was on his first fish for the day great work and a nice upgrade 32cm ttf 0.65kg. We fished a couple more hours for no bites time for some lunch all in all we ended up with 6 Bream and the best 5 going 3.87kg lures that worked for us where Zman grubz and slim swimz in midnight oil, super happy to be catching fish in this system with how it’s been lately and it was great to get out with the boys for a fish. 😁😁😁🎣🎣🎣🐟🐟🐟 c&r
