Every year Cora walks all the way from the front of Red Hook to the waterfront in the back, handing out 5,000 postcards announcing our classes and having our teachers and professional dancers perform for passers by. Today we kicked off our “Walkabout” in a whole new way, with our KIDS doing the dancing! Come find Mykie and Evie Tuesday - performing BENCH from COMMON DANCES, originally performed by Sarah Eika Burke and Solomon Goodwin. The next generation of Cora is here!!!
Registration begins Monday for previously enrolled families and September 4 for the general public! Visit www.coradance.org or call 718-858-2520 for details!!
I can’t believe this was almost exactly one year ago. A time where my drive to pursue dance and to work on my craft in order to inspire others was the strongest. A time where I discovered my purpose and felt happy that I was putting in work to what I am supposed to do and love to do. Currently not in the strongest state of mind with dance right now but this is just a reminder that I know I can aim higher, I just need to be consistent, to not make anymore excuses, and to just keep moving forward, especially when I’m lacking motivation.
This is me, combining two passions. I’m reminiscing on a time not too long ago when I actually had energy. 😴
I’ve been working hard on getting things back to normal after the show, no easy task and slowly but surely, I’m crossing off the to-dos and making it happen. 💃🏻
