It’s really amazing how your body will respond when you give it what it needs. I haven’t weighed myself yet, but I can clearly see that in just 3 days of eating my typical nutrient dense type of nutrition coupled with this awesome new program the results are showing!! .
I am killing the 4x a wk workout with my success group- tomorrow is day 4!!! They are 30-40 min workouts and man do you feel the results immediately. I know you curious, I know you’ve been watching and want to learn more but the last thing you want is some annoying chick busting your chops about getting into shape - am I right? What a journey the last 18months has been, and I couldn’t have done it without all of you. As another summer term comes to an end but this year in a very different way for me because it doesn’t end in fact it’s only just beginning with Summer Schools, masterclasses, workshops, adult classes and collaborations, I’ve finally had a chance to take stock and appreciate the impact that every stage school, dance organisation, Yoga retreat, studio, student or client I work with has on me. Black’s Barre evolves because of you all and everything I offer is inspired as a result of meeting and working with so many different people from different backgrounds and professions. I have to say what has been the most inspirational aspect for me l is working with so many of the women that attend my classes. You all attend for different reasons whether it be for a physical challenge or a mental escape I learn from you as much as you learn from me. I believe fitness and wellbeing is a two way process between an instructor and a student, It’s not about achieving the perfect body or feeling guilty when we slip (yin and yang and all that jazz....) it’s about leaving a class feeling good, feeling inspired and wanting more. We all have our vices and at times we need to give in to them, being ‘bad’ from time to time feeds us just as much as being good, so enjoy it all and learn from it as you go.

If fitness isn’t fun we need to talk, because there’s NO WAY I’d still be here if I did the same thing over & over. Making it fun by changing it up, having options, modifying moves with kids instead of weights, LAUGHING & music has been part of the shift for me.
Today, is our rest day. With the current program we are doing we have 3 rest days! I have really begun to crave moving everyday so rest day doesn’t mean that we don’t move. It leaves us time to do other fun things like play in the park, go biking, swimming or challenging your hubby in an obstacle course race! I can also access my online fitness library where I can choose stretching, Pilates, or another fun workout I’ve been wanting to try. And those I work with in my challenge group use the same thing.
Day 2 - crushing it with my group this AM! We are scattered all over the US and working out together virtually is SO much fun 👏🏼👊🏼

I really do enjoy zip lining- and having the biggest “weggie” for a good couple hours but what I don’t enjoy... the legit dry heave 🤢 response I have by wearing the helmet. Like honestly, how does anyone transfer that kind of smell onto a helmet- stop! Don’t even think about telling me that it’s the fact those helmets have NEVER been cleaned and they’ve been using the same one for 20 years. Don’t tell me!! 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
