Saw a super cute pair of butterflies on during break today at work. They were dancing together so beautifully and I had to stop and watch. Being as delicate as they are, it’s amazing how fast and how synchronized they were. One shot up into the air, the other quickly found him again and together they rose higher and higher.. continuing their graceful dance.... At least that’s what I’d like to believe-that they were dancing, that is. #gracefulbutterflies#butterflies#dancinginthewind#dontjudgeabookbyitscover#lol
On the morning of October 8th, 2016 Hurricane Matthew made landfall on the SC coast as a Category 1 hurricane. It caused catastrophic flooding. At the time, we lived in Myrtle Beach. We stayed and watched the events unfold. We waded through waist-deep water in parts of our neighborhood. We were without power for a few days, but we were safe and unharmed.
What I remember most about that day is watching the willow tree. Her long, flowing branches were a clear indication of the wind. Almost like a dancer, she was pulled in one direction, then snapped a different way. The weeping willow was whipped hard by the wind that day. By evening, the winds were down and she appeared unscathed from the brutal weather.
All of the these pictures were taken within seconds of each other. You can see the changing wind speeds and directions. It's hard not to respect Mother Nature when she is demonstrating her power.
To all of our friends on the coast, please be safe.
Our prayers are with you. #besafecarolina#prayersforall#southcarolina#dancinginthewind#weepingwillow
