Comfort zones are funny things aren’t they? They protect us but the downside is that they also limit us. This year I have pushed way beyond the edges of my comfort zone. I’ve gone from tapping away behind a computer screen really only seeing people on the school run (!!) to setting up a networking group from scratch and then speaking at one of our events. I shared my own story and explained just how important and powerful it is to own and share our stories. And yes, I was terrified! I probably jumbled my words a little and lost my place but I did it and afterwards felt a huge confidence boost. I hope that the ladies listening saw past my nervousness!
Here’s to being brave and saying yes to opportunities that align with our purpose 💪🏻🙌🏻

Brené Brown - Wisdom 3:
A lot of cheap seats in the arena are filled with people who never venture onto the floor. They just hurl mean-spirited criticisms and put-downs from a safe distance. The problem is, when we stop caring what people think and stop feeling hurt by cruelty, we lose our ability to connect. But when we’re defined by what people think, we lose the courage to be vulnerable. Therefore, we need to be selective about the feedback we let into our lives. For me, if you’re not in the arena getting your ass kicked, I’m not interested in your feedback.

Today I had a clinical psychologist tell me that they like the way my brain works, and I think it’s the best compliment I’ve ever received. On the other hand, maybe I should be worried?
