Balancing life is what’s up for me right now.
I was recently reminded that all is EXACTLY as it should be. For those that don’t know me, I am a mom of two incredible little humans and the owner of Platefit. I am also a friend, a wife, a partner, a boss, a 39 year old woman, an athlete, and so much more!
So, how do I “balance” it all? I dont🤪. My dear friend @heidiStevensInc
says it well, ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Stop striving for balance. You’ll be on a never-ending roller coaster looking for something that doesn’t exist.
Instead of searching for “balance,” I say honor the season you’re in. Sometimes work will require you to give more, or you’ll find yourself more focused on health, or your friends. But trying to set up some perfect schedule giving 110% to every area of your life all the time is exhausting and a recipe for burnout.”
Sometimes my work is a priority. Sometimes my family is. Sometimes I’m the priority!
It’s very rare for my scale to feel balanced and I’m 100% okay with that now. Once I let go of trying to be the a perfect Mama, the perfect Owner/Boss things became easier, lighter, more fun! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are all doing the best we can at any given moment. Remembering that helps me stay sane and pushes me to continue moving forward.
