S A T U R D A Y - Secrets
So I’ve had a few tough times in my life and in that I seeked help and someone to speak to and unload on.
Not only was this the best thing I ever did for my #mentalhealth
it was the best thing I did for others around me.
I always trained at home, did pretty well, got a fantastic physique from functional workouts only via my bedroom floor. Which I still do, I will be doing them this weekend as my partner works shifts and 3 kids at home means I can’t get to the gym. (More of that later). Going to the gym has become a place I can escape my mind and unwind, use tension correctly and unload stress (if any at the time) not only that the heavier I lift the better I feel as I am releasing endorphins.
I use to hate the gym but now it’s becoming my calm place so to speak. It’s the one place I can forget I’m a mum, partner, hard worker in my career, etc and just be ME for an hour!
I could not recommend enough how much a gym truly not only helps your physical health but most definitely helps your mental health! I wish I did it years ago!
Speak out, never be afraid to talk to someone. I’ll always listen, feeling low, feeling stressed or just having a shit day, then shout at me, I’ll listen! 👂
