Quote from article: " ‘Over 90% of student loans are guaranteed by the U.S. Department of Education, meaning that if a recession causes a rise in youth unemployment and triggers mass defaults, this contingent liability could prove burdensome for the U.S. government budget,’said Paul Della Guardia, economist at the Institute of International Finance in emailed comments.
The record student debt level is more than double the $675 billion outstanding in June 2009 when the recession ended.”

Nurses are, in my humble opinion, angels. The love they pour from their hearts in service to others is beyond compare. My grandmother, Rosary, was a nurse. My sister, Lisa, is a nurse. My cousins, Jillian and Gabrielle, are nurses. My business partners are nurses. Nursing is a calling, but, as a profession, it is taxing not only emotionally, but also financially. This, perhaps, explains why we have so many nurses on our team.
This morning I am sharing my friend and business partner’s story in hopes that you, too, will find inspiration. I love being a part of a company that empowers women to design a life they love.
With a degree in nursing from Clemson, and a master’s of science in nursing and DNP from Duke, Jenny began a successful career as a family nurse practitioner in pediatric surgery. However, bound by a rigid work schedule and limited by a substantial amount of student loan debt, Jenny found that she was not able to fulfill her vision of adventure with her husband, Will, who shares her wanderlust and passion for life. By embracing the opportunity to partner with our doctors, Jenny was able to pay off her student loans six years ahead of time, and save $15,000 of interest in the process! And, in addition to pursuing her passion for exotic travel – including Thailand and South Africa – she is empowering the women on her team to follow their hearts, free from the burdens of financial stress.
In her words: “Collaborating with like-minded individuals who also think there’s more to life than the nine-to-five grind reminds me that I don’t have to live that life if I don’t want to. . . . it’s okay to dream bigger than what you thought possible because you can live the life you want. This business is so much more than extra money, it’s a vehicle for change. It’s about bettering yourself, improving your life, focusing on what’s important, and helping others do the same. Believe in your abilities and start creating your best reality now.” Are you living the life you’ve imagined?
“MADISON, WI—Struggling to explain her positive emotional state, area woman Erin Kinney reportedly spent Monday wondering why she was suddenly happy despite not having purchased anything recently. “Huh, that’s weird. Why do I feel so content right now? I don’t think I splurged on anything today, but maybe I just forgot,” said Kinney, who then proceeded to scroll back through her Amazon order history to double check if she had purchased anything that had momentarily slipped her mind. “I swear I must have bought, like, a new sweater, a fancy candle, or some expensive Korean face masks to make myself this cheerful and energized, but I looked at my credit card statement and I apparently I didn’t buy a single thing—not even groceries. Did I go to Target recently? I don’t have any memory of going shopping, but why else would I feel so good?” At press time, Kinney told reporters that she had become so flustered by the whole situation that she had no choice but to run out to a local drug store and buy herself a little pick-me-up.”
Thought I’d post my January budget to keep me on track

So after a long 4 years of University I have finally walked across the stage and received my diploma. 🎓Shoutout to all the people who doubted me and said I couldn’t do it; Firstly me and secondly my mother. But mostly me 😂 -In my first year of study I was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyspraxia but thanks to the Dyslexia team at USW I was able to find revision methods and techniques that allowed me to fully utilise my revision time. Unfortunately they couldn’t help me with procrastination (It’s taken me nearly an hour to write this post 😂). -I’d like to offer a great thanks to the University of South Wales for years of anxiety and the years of crippling debt that will follow.
-On a serious note I would like to give a massive thank you to Iman Izwanie Erywan for all of the hours of help with revision, which included many hours spent in the library. I couldn’t have done it without you 🙏🏻 -I will never forget my time at university. I owe USW a great debt for all of the fun and friends I have made. No really, I received the bill this morning. I look forward to keeping in contact with the University through monthly repayments which I will be paying off for many years to come. -Here’s to the future 👨🏻🎓🎓 #University #Accounting

I know I have fallen off the wagon on this journey but, well, life happened. We started a business, dug ourselves a bigger financial hole, had sick kids, & a heart attack scare. But all in all we have had a great year. Starting January 1st we plan to recommit to BS2 & start crushing our debt. 🙌 We have a business that is doing better than I imagined 5 months in & the husband started a new job today! Here's to crushing some goals in 2019!!! 🥂
Over half of Americans with less than $1000 in the bank?! Did your bank balance grow in 2018?
These are the things about your credit they don’t want you to know! Learn to play the game with them!
Life is about living, it’s about taking risk and sometimes those risk will get your adrenaline up. To me, those are the best.💯
Life is about letting loose at times yet remaining humble and maintaining control. 🙌🏼
Don’t fall into the dogma that you have to go to a college in order to be successful. I’ve met many people and have good friends who did and are thousands in debt working at job that is completely irrelevant to their major. 🤦🏻♂️
What I suggest 🙋🏻♂️
Find something you’re absolutely passionate about that will build cash flow. Create a vision and break it down into: goals, steps, and task. 👨🏻🏫
We’ve got to look long term not short term. Entrepreneurship is the key to ultimate freedom! Bust your ass now and enjoy your freedom after. Why wait till your 65 to retire? I’d rather retire by my 30’s and live. Times have changed, our mindsets need to too. 🧠

Which means in 3.5yrs, we will have paid off half of our house! ✨
First we bought a home only getting approved for our mortgage with husbands income. I was terrified of being house broke and felt safe with this strategy. Our home is nice but modest and our mortgage is less than 9% of our combined income
Second we put 20% down. This saved us $7k in mortgage insurance. & this was tough! Because on top of the 20% there’s closing costs, lawyer fees, we hired a home inspector. Husband was literally pulling change from the couch to make this happen. ✨
This year we were able to max out our privileged payments. Last year we put an extra $17k on the mortgage. ✨
We mostly live on husbands income. This is just my normal, one income. I was raised by a single mom who had one income and didn’t receive child support. Then I lived the same life, single mom, single income. So when we got married and I took our debt seriously, this just made sense to me. I’ve been doing it all my life anyway. A lot of people fight me on this, “it’s impossible”, but seriously, if my mom can raise three kids on one very modest income...it inspires me. She was making less than 30k/year.
Now we are officially on the Christmas countdown I've been trying to keep this message in my head. This has been the nicest December I've had in years because I've tried to focus on giving people my time rather than spending it running around trying to find the perfect gift.
You might remember in my stories a few weeks back that my anxiety is usually triggered by all the craziness of Christmas. I love this time of year, it can just feel overwhelming. But this year has been so lovely and I intend to spend the next week really enjoying a relaxed environment with the people I love. Who else is on #TeamChill
