As we get closer and closer to the Christmas season, it might be a good time to take a looks at your finances.
There are many ways to increase your household income, but here are just 4 of the main one that you can take action on this week.
🌟Get a part-time job🌟
🌟Get a better paying job🌟
🌟Start a side hustle🌟
🌟Sell stuff you don't use or need🌟
Choose one and go and make it happen!
Something that I’ve been doing with some close friends the last few months is making and freezing extra portions of meals, then we get together and do a swap so we’re all not eating THAT casserole/curry/pie again so soon.
It’s really casual but we have all noticed a difference in the amount of take away we’re buying. Less of it. It’s almost like having a chef cook for you. Defrost, heat and it’s done! Couldn’t be easier.
Cost wise, it all works out in the wash. Most meals would be a similar amount to produce. However, it’s much cheaper given other options we might chose like ordering in. Of course you can just eat your own meals but the swapping adds to the variety.
It’s also another excuse to catch up which is always nice 😊
Take back the control in your life. You are choosing not to spend your money on shit. Be purposeful.

Looks like I need to start adding to the medical category again in our budget. Husbands new anti anxiety medication is $8.50 a month
I got this from @thegrowinginvestor.
I love reading quotes. I read it all day long just to stay motivated. If I don't then I feel like I missed something important.
I hope you can relate to this quote cause every day I'm hustling🕺🕺🕺
With real effort, persistence, determination and a willingness to learn, anything is possible.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I constantly put in an effort, I'm persistent, I'm determined and I love learning.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do things always go according to plan? Heck no. I often hit road blocks and bumps.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I'll never, ever give up. I'd like to think that I'll reach my goals before I look like this guy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the meantime, I just keep going, pushing through, trying different paths, changing it up.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What about you? Do you have what it takes to pick yourself up and dust yourself down? It's all about having the right mindset and attitude.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Life After Bankruptcy: How to decrease your monthly bills (and still pay for Christmas)
By Elizabeth Jeter
It's that time of the year again! Fall is nigh, and tis' the season of in-between: the school's been in session for quite a while, but the holidays haven't quite started yet. We're stuck for a few weeks between relaxing with a good school year routine and living with the anxiety of how we're going to get through the next couple of months.
I've decided to address the impending holiday stress head-on this year, and not only spend some time pleading with you about all the reasons you shouldn't pull out loans or max out credit cards to pay for Christmas gifts, but how you can cut down your monthly bills in order to pay for the holidays in cash! After all guys, you put in a lot of work paying off your debt through bankruptcy or discharging what wasn't paid back. You've got a clean slate, why backslide now, especially so close to the holidays?
Here are a few tips:
1). Lower your monthly utility usage in any way you can.
2.) Reduce or eliminate your unnecessary monthly cable or internet bills.
3.) Speaking of Netflix or Prime, let's talk monthly subscriptions. It's probably time to get rid of some of those.
4.) Bundle some of your bills together for discounts, and look for discounts wherever you can.
5.) Cut down your cell phone bill. Check your plan to make sure you're getting the best deals.
6.) Buy discounted groceries and coupon whenever possible.

*Rant post ahead!* Just had to unfollow a couple people that feel the need to be judgemental twits. Personal finance, should be just that, personal. You shouldn’t judge others just because they chose to have a car payment or to go to school.. the dumbest thing I’ve heard.. “YOU CHOSE to go to school!” Well dummy, there’s nothing wrong with an education it’s not guaranteed you’ll ever get a job out of your degree but at least they attempted too, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to further your education.. and there’s NOTHING wrong with wanting a reliable vehicle and making payments, it doesn’t always mean someone’s trying to “keep up with the Joneses”.. not everyone has 10k just sitting around.. yes, Save up for it IF YOU CAN..but all circumstances are different and stop being judgmental pricks 😡
