Never underestimate what a park cafe has to offer, on a gorgeous autumn blue sky day it’s the perfect place to stop fo a bite to eat, especially Sunny Hill Cafe in North London @sunnyhillcafe
You’re not only welcomed by friendly staff but you’re made to feel right at home in their log cabin which if you didn’t look out of the window could be on any ski slope!
Sunny Hill Cafe serves up delicious array of foods from the Middle East, Israel and English specials like the traditional sunny side up egg brekkie.
On this visit we enjoyed their shakshuka which you can customise - I added olives, chillies, & mushrooms. This shakshuka is large enough to share too which meant I could order a few more dishes to try. I opted for Falafel and Hommous and a dish from Yemen called Malawach - it resembled an open sandwich, essentially a flat puff pastry almost like a paratha which was topped with baby spinach, olives, onions, feta, harrisa, tomatoes and pomegranate syrup. Lastly a plate of Halloumi fries! I should have been rolling home!
Presentation of their food far exceeded my expectations for a park cafe. Everything we ordered tasted flavoursome, and perfectly cooked. I can’t fault any of it.
There are so many delicious choices it’s hard to choose, which means I’ll just have to keep coming back to tick off all their vegetarian options.
My only dilemma is whether I will ever get to their dessert list? This is my personal review, I am not paid for this review and I am not affiliated to the cafe. #middleeasternfood #parkcafe #israelifood #hommous #falafel #malawach #yum #delishfood #vegetarian #foodtoshare #sunnyhillcafe #halloumi #flatbreads #halloumifries #foodies #healthyfood #delish #shakshuka #shakshukaeggs #yemenitefood
