Oral health is important whether you are 4, 50 or 80. It plays a very important role in our lives and is considered a window into the health of the body. Signs of nutritional deficiencies as well as general infection can at times be seen that directly affects the rest of the body. Systemic diseases, are often revealed because of mouth lesions or other oral problems. Poor oral hygiene can lead to complications such as a toothache or the development of an abscess.
As a result of bacterial infection an abscessed tooth can form in different parts of a tooth. An abscessed tooth is sometimes referred as a dental abscess. It can cause moderate to severe pain that can sometimes emit to your ear or neck.
Left untreated, an abscessed tooth can turn into a serious, life-threatening condition.
Below is a simple, yet effective natural remedy for getting that abscess or swelling down, even beneath a crown tooth and can be used until you able to see a professional.
3 parts slippery elm
2 parts baking yeast
4 drops clove oil
1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon activated charcoal
1️⃣ Mix together and add a little water just enough to make make a paste. It will be gummy due to the slippery elm.
2️⃣ Place a small amount on a sterilized gauze pad and then pack this around the gum of the infected area.
3️⃣ Repeat this every three to four hours as needed.
