Our hearts are full.
Ever since learning twins were in our cards, my life has been a balance of trying to get this small body to adjust to carrying these babies, while getting the world ready for them. Doing this while working full-time and trying to be a good wife, sister, daughter, friend, aunt, etc. makes the balance feel like its constantly teetering.
We, as a state (and perhaps country), have a very broken childcare system to boot. Every option we've looked at has us paying more than our mortgage for someone to make sure the babies stay alive while we're at work.
I know I'm blessed to have these ladies. But that's not to say it doesn't get hard.
Frankly, all of it gets really overwhelming.
But to counter all this, the universe provided us an immense network of love and support. If the baby shower Stella and Hanna planned, and the guests who came, are any indication of the world that these baby girls will be born into, I think we'll be ok.
The little (and big) things people are doing to help -- whether that be sending us messages of support, researching topics for us, making us laugh -- have made the difference between days that are amazing, and days that aren't.
And for these reasons, at least this morning, the three hearts that beat in this body are thankful and immensely full. ❤️❤️ #twins #pregnant #colorado #family #childcare #twinpregnancy #babyshower #thankful #denver #hearts
