In this beautiful Paddington terrace, a unique light well runs along the length of the home and the dining area flows seamlessly to the outdoors. Talk to Ben Collier about 24 Underwood Street today.
To talk about the history of the Martini glass, is to talk about the history of the cocktail itself, for the very earliest “cocktail glasses” bore more than a passing resemblance to what we now know and recognize as the Martini glass. Indeed, much has been written about the shared history between the Martini cocktail and its vessel, as behind its urbane form lies a rather utilitarian function: a long stem to lift the glass without raising the temperature, a wide brim to aid release of the glorious gin botanicals, and the steeply sloping sides to prevent ingredient separation (and help balance an olive, or two). And while both the cocktail and its vessel may have fallen in and out of favor over the years, it’s the iconic modernist form that always draws us back in. Once described by the New York Times in 1958 as “the symbol of our civilization”, it has inspired architects, writers and aerospace engineers alike. There aren’t too many of us who can claim that! Cheers! #raiseaglass

We recently completed an expansive new construction home in Wellesley. The clients and their young family had lived in their home for several years and were looking to do an extensive renovation. After weighing the options they could not get over the current ceiling height. We worked hard to get the project designed, permitted through special permits, and built.
We are so excited to show you guys the finished product, but for now, here is a sneak peak.
