Today was my last day of #shiftshop
... It was a great program! There were things I liked and didn't... As with every program
But I did like that it was only 3 weeks and the workouts were under 1 hour.
I would definitely recommend this one, even as a beginner... You can modify whatever you need to and still get a good sweat kicking!
My results will NOT be optimal as I did not do so great on the eating plan. That was all me though! But at least I kept moving every day and working all my muscles! And that's what mattered to me this round!
First week of challenge down. I was so good all week. I didn’t slip up once! I worked out 4 times, which I’m happy with. Got a good week planned, starting with a training session in the morning and then a Godley Heads walk with some of the other girls. Bring on Week Two 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Owning your money means you having the full control over it, not the other way around. You can have a lot of money in your account one day, but if you don't know how to thoughtfully spend it, you can wake up the other way with your accounts significantly slimmer. Last week I tried a new ‘intermediate’ yoga class. Not because I’m an intermediate yogi (in any sense of the word) but because I was encouraged to ‘just come’. And if you know me, you know that I’ll try just about anything, once.
It was hard. And I kind of stunk at it. I struggled. Big time. When I tell you, I thought my shoulders would just fall off and become a permanent part of my yoga mat, I’m not exaggerating.
But it was in that moment that I remembered something that I’m constantly telling my #SimplyDefinedFitness
sisters: that’s what change feels like. It’s painful. It’s hard. It can bring out our most negative self-dialogue. But all of that discomfort and at times, self-doubt is an integral part of the journey to our bodies being able to do more, more strength, more health, more resilience.
No matter what your personal journey is or where you are in that journey, do more of what you want your body to do. Then get comfortable with being UNcomfortable. Thank-you @akheathbar

Omg.... It was so hot and humid outside when I did my workout. Ugh!
I was supposed to do speed 45 today, but it's not the best on my knees. So I opted for weights again! And holy.... Everything on me got worked!
Sometimes I don't totally follow the programs, and I modify a lot in others. But I'm still getting my workout in, and that's all that really matters!!

Some people think that I’m super duper excited about working out every single day. Boy oh boy are you WRONG if you think that 🤷🏻♀️ Today I woke up super unmotivated. Like it was bad friends. I told myself that I didn’t have to workout today, I’ll just pick it back up tomorrow, that another day of rest would be good for me. But here’s the deal...I don’t feel sick today, I slept in, there’s no reason for me to NOT workout except for the fact that I didn’t feel like it. 🙃
But if you rely only on motivation, you will get nowhere. Because motivation isn’t there for you daily. Heck it’s usually only there for the first few days of trying out a new workout program or a new nutrition plan, and then it goes away and people fall off the wagon. You cannot rely on motivation only, it just doesn’t work ✌️ Now determination and discipline on the other hand...those will get you somewhere! On days like today, when I don’t want to workout and am trying to use every excuse in the book, are days when I have to remember why I started and be disciplined enough to just do it! And for me, something as simple as putting my workout clothes on, throwing my hair in a braid, and putting a fun headband on instantly gets me in a better mindset and ready to take on the day. And then my preworkout cocktail and some amazing personal development get me PUMPED ⚡️ So, go make today amazing.
