Lindsay how are things going... well, since you asked.
Fact- it’s hard to reverse from a serious cut when you have almost a week away from your home - when you’re living in a hotel, then staying with family, and then you get a 1 day break before a family reunion begins. 😳😬 I’m taking a break from the family reunion to hit the gym right now... because this is my happy place 😆🙌🏻.
I’ve had to spend a lot of time mindfully eating. What does mindfully eating mean to me? Well, Keep in mind I’ve been doing this for awhile and I can read my body pretty well. I think it’s important throughout this process to learn to really ‘know thyself’. So I can tell typically the difference between true hunger and - it’s a social setting, I’m tired, I’m stressed, I’m bored type of mindless snacking. I keep an eye on that. I focus on my gallon of water (it’s hard to overeat too much when you’re pounding down the water). When everyone is socially eating I grab a Diet Coke so I can satisfy that desire to join in. I’m looking to maintain so I wait till true hunger hits, not crazy prolonged ravaging hunger, but true hunger hits, I drink a ton of water, see how I feel, and then I eat what everyone else is eating but i start with greens and protein first, and i make sure it’s just much smaller portions, and I stop right before I’m full. Keep in mind when I do this I’m not over thinking it, I don’t think through it all systematically, It’s just what I’ve programmed myself to do. But at first I had to really be honest with myself and examine things more carefully. Now it’s a true habit and lifestyle and I enjoy how I feel when I’m mindful in my approach. .
On a totally different note... I got my DNA testing results back yesterday. Oh man oh man oh man. It confirmed a lot of things. BUT I’m going to do a live about it BECAUSE it goes right along with knowing how to build muscle. I love you with this much. I wasn’t surprised AT ALL to learn My genetics don’t like to build muscle! I’’ talking about my genetic ability to build was labeled ‘BELOW AvERAGE’ 😆AND it also doesn’t like to process pretty much ALL nutrients. This calls for an Instagram live to cover this!!
