I have a client who has a crippling fear of putting herself out there on social media. I’ve felt her uneasiness each time I bring it up, draft a post for approval, ask questions to gather info... I’ve been pushing her... gently. .
But yesterday I was pretty honest, and said if she’s happy to coast along promoting a dehumanised business there’s only so much I can do. If she wants to engage her audience, draw people in, give people the chance to get to know her then we’re going to have to work on crushing that fear. BTW she’s awesome, funny, genuine, caring, and sooooo good at what she does. People need to see and get to know her! We made a plan, identified what she felt needed to happen before she could do it (her perceived barriers), set some goals, a timeline and are now working towards it. Not everyone can take a blind leap, others need to work towards it. And that’s ok, as long as you do it! .
If there’s one guarantee I can give you on social (and no it’s not 1000 new followers per month or $X number of sales 🙄) it’s if you put yourself out there, give people the chance to know you, you will attract your people, you will open your mind to new opportunities and relationships and your business will grow because of it.
Did you know that 98% of people wake up and do the same routine over and over again. Day in and Day Out, work 40+ years then retire around the age of 65 and then “enjoy life”. Then there are the 2% of people that disrupt the routine, decide to build something out of their comfort zone for their families, and live life in their terms while working hard.
Soooo, of course I get a lot of the “No Thank You, it’s not for me” when I ask people if they have ever considered Rodan + Fields as a way to make a supplemental, better yet, residual income. I get it. It’s NOT personal, it’s just that 98% of people are use to the same daily routine.
I’m looking for that very specific 2% and I’ll take the NOs all day long to find them. I’m looking for people who want more. The go getters, movers, and shakers of the world. The BUSY people who seek change and know how to get it done. Y’all, I was a 98%er. I was nervous, skeptical, and simply afraid but I knew nothing was going to change if I didn’t try. I was surrounded by others who believed in me and my dreams more than myself and gave me a gentle push to do something brave....To join the 2% mindset; to have choices for my family, to give back to the world, to open doors I only dreamed that existed. To say I’m Grateful is an understatement.
If you are tired of being in the 98%, i’d love to talk. If you are the 2% and are seeking something like this, let’s do it💕 #2
