💡 I’m over the moon happy because we found out we passed our first electrical inspection yesterday! 💡 Next up is radiant floor heating and staining the posts on our deck. I’ll post some photos and videos of progress in stories today 🖤
Technically this colour is “Shrimp”, but I think it works just fine for a grapefruit 🍤
A sprinkling of different things for this next WIP
So fun to work with beads I love the shine !

Im currently working on a bunch of secret commissions so here’s the colour pallet and thread I’m currently using. 🌿🐸🌻 #embroidery #dmc #dmcthreads #wip

The fifth reason to go vegan is for our wildlife. 🐺🐰🐨🐒🐘🐐
Did you know animal agriculture is the leading cause of species extinction and habitat destruction? An estimated 110 animal and insect species are lost EVERY DAY just from rainforest destruction, which is primarily due to growing and feeding livestock.
And what's even crazier??
Humans account for about 36% of the biomass of all mammals. Domesticated livestock, mostly cows and pigs, account for 60%, and wild mammals now account for only 4% of the biomass on Earth.
Humankind has killed off approximately 60% of all wildlife on Earth since 1970.
Wild animals suffer not only the collateral damage of meat-related deforestation, drought, pollution, and climate change, but they also suffer direct targeting by the meat industry. From grazing animals to predators, native species are frequently killed to protect meat production profits. Grass-eating wildlife, such as elk, deer, and pronghorn, have been killed in masses to reserve more feed for cattle. Important habitat-creating wildlife have been decimated because they disrupt the homogenous landscapes desired by livestock managers, including beavers and prairie dogs.
to save not only the livestock animals you consume but many other lives you indirectly demand to be killed as well.
For more information on how eating farmed animals affects wildlife, check out KeepExtinctionOffYourPlate.com, or just do a quick Google search. 💚

A detail of one of my favorite branch creations. I embroidered on found branches for the 100 day project last year. I'm not sure if I can commit to it this year, but I love this project and can't wait to see what everyone will do! Are any of you participating and what will you make? (Or is it a secret for now?)
Designing today ☺️ Also painting my kitchen cabinets and walls everywhere because why not. I have caulk on my fingers and paint in my hair and I am real happy. .
Condescending chicken is judging me for being late 20 days with this gift
Day 26 | Self Care
This is actually a really tough prompt for me to talk about. I am a SAHM of a 1yo boy with a husband that travels, and no close family. So much has changed for me, personally, in a year. I was not prepared for this side of motherhood, at all. I used to spend hours getting dressed if I wanted to, putting curls in my long hair, doing my make-up, picking out outfits. SHOPPING, taking my time to wander and browse and even go from store to store. Most, if not all, of that is gone. My hair is short, and I couldn’t even tell you when exactly my last hair appointment was. I’m not even sure when I last used conditioner (3 minutes for that, not happening). However long it takes Lucas to eat a cup of snacks is about as much time that I get to browse in 1 store, and that’s it for the day because he has a schedule. So it’s usually groceries. Showers usually happen during naps or before everyone is awake, and they’re quick. My nails are whatever shape and color comes from repeated cup washing. Self care these days...it’s not at all what it used to be. Some days it’s just another thing to add onto an already huge To-Do list.
I think self care nowadays is this place. I sew during naps. I don’t get to escape from motherhood, but I do have a creative outlet, and oh my word am I so blessed to have that. It is my toolkit for daily life, not a “break in case of emergency” escape plan. It is how I self-soothe and calm my physical and emotional distress, and take my thoughts and my body far away from motherhood. For just a little while. And sometimes it involves chocolates.
I have some cool stuff coming up and I can't wait to share it 🌚 any clues on what it might be ?
*NOT my baby!* I have been on a little bit of an Instagram hiatus lately. Not really intentional, just haven’t felt like being on the app. So I’m resharing this piece I made for my SIL for Christmas. I’m very happy with how it came out, so it deserves some extra attention, even if I get more speculation about my own pregnancy status (which I dooooon’t love receiving haha). Still can’t wait to meet my new niece! Frame by @auburnhoops
This subway might be a little harder to recognize... I’ll give you a continent hint: Asia!
: Top Tip or Advice⠀
Never stop exploring! Even if you’ve found something you love and are really good at, it’s important to keep exploring and trying new things. This year I’ve been exploring new fiber arts and combining techniques. It was weird to branch out, and frustrating to not be super good at a new skill, but with practice and exploration, I’ve added to my skill set and made something new that I really love!
