A common argument that Democrats and 4th-wave feminists will use to explain why “men have more rights than women” is that women get paid $.79 to every $1 a man makes at the same job. However, this is completely untrue. The wage gap is determined by combing the wages of all full-time, year long, working women and finding the average, then comparing that to the average wage of all full-time, year long, working men. So OVERALL (not in individual jobs), yes, women tend to have lower salaries than men. But this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The fact is that less women tend to go for riskier jobs or start-ups than men do. Women are much more nurturing. They retain emotional memories much easier and more vivid than men do, on average. This is why you’ll often see more women staying at home with children. This is not to say that all women and wives should do this. Marriages work in all sorts of ways, and not every women gets married. But the fact is that God made women to be more nurturing to provide for kids. In fact, according to an article by Harvard Business School, most of the time, the decision to choose a male employee over a female one is not based on gender-specific stereotypes. Rather, employers tend to pick men over women due to a belief that the man, if equally qualified, is more likely to increase profit than the woman. Even when they took gender out of the study and labeled all women as odd birth months, and all men as even birth months, with the employers using math and sports task results as a guide, the odd-months (women) were chosen for the job only 37% of the time. The wage gap between men and women, and even generally women compared to men in jobs is much more complex than what is on the outside.
