This is Mark (isn’t he handsome?!)! Without him, there wouldn’t be any photos on this page! Mark is definitely a people’s person, just read all his testimonies, (on our webpage). He’s been shooting weddings for over ten years, now. Although weddings take up a lot of his time, he also photographs and films people, nature and properties. Head over to @markward_photography
for another side of his work.
Bonjour tout le monde! It’s the beginning of the year and we’re getting lots of enquiries so we thought we should introduce ourselves for those who don’t know us so well! First of all, thank you for following us and working with us! We absolutely love what we do and it’s greatly thanks to you! So to tell you a bit more about who is behind Awardweddings... it’s us, Mark and Clémentine, we’ve been together for 15 years and married for nearly 10. We met in London, a month after I arrived from Paris and have never been apart since. It was obviously meant to be! Awardweddings started unofficially 10 years ago with Mark being asked to photograph and film his friends’ weddings, and became official in 2010. Two years later, we quit our full time jobs, moved to SW France and it’s kept growing into a wedding photography, film, planning and decorations business, specializing in destination weddings in South of France. We are lucky to love what we do, and when we’re not at work, we’re juggling renovating an old farm on top of a hill with crazy young kids, and exploring the country as often as we can! Between us, we gather five nationalities: English, French, Japanese, German and Turkish! And we’ve been lucky to travel extensively around the world (pre-kids and house renovation! Soon to start again!).

Everything is in the detail with unique items of decorations. Beautiful plates made by the talented @oliviapellerin

I skyped with a lovely couple last night about their wedding at @chateaudelisse
next year... one of the things they said they definitely didn’t want from their photography was garish HDR sunset shots... 😝 which made me chuckle. Me neither. Here’s how I handle sunsets; beautiful golden light, soft tones, natural, romantic 💕 It’s important to make sure you like your photographers natural style so do have those conversations before you book... and if course it’s worth making sure you click with them as a person too, it’s not fun spending your wedding day with someone you don’t get on with 😬 I really liked last nights couple so crossing my fingers that they book 😜
Here is our second set-up with an industrial whilst romantic style. With the impressive flower arrangement above the table, we’ve concentrated on candles for a romantic candlelit dinner. We love the metal and cream tones of the table. Thank you to @oliviapellerin
for the gorgeous plates!
Congratulations to all the newly engaged couples who said yes over the Christmas season! Such special and exciting times ahead. If you are planning your wedding in France I’d love to chat to you about capturing a beautifully curated story of your day through my style of artistic, authentic, light-filled photography 💕
We created different set-up for the dinner table. This first one is a light combination of red flower stems in cut glass vases and brass candlesticks. We focused on the association of materials: metal table, glass and ceramic. Every piece is unique and really personalized. Find out more inspiration in the #weddingtrendreport2019

WEDDING TREND REPORT 2019 - WARM, BOLD AND NATURAL. This is another aspect of the shoot we styled, planned and photographed, used in the #weddingtrendreport2019
- we love unique, impressive arrangements and asked our amazing florist @lesideales
to create a structure above the table using pampa grass and red touches to tie in with the ceremony set-up. How fab does this look?!! The table setting is pretty incredible too, with unique handmade ceramic pieces by extremely talented @oliviapellerin
- decoration rentals by us. Watch out for more details of the tables in days to come. Get your copy of the report on @weddingacademylive
Mixing textures and natural colors, for a warm atmosphere. We used the bricks, with dry and fresh flowers, as well as original vegetables and candles. For every wedding, we think of the whole environment to create a harmonious style. In an area like South of France, we are blessed with rich buildings and tones. Gorgeous flowers by @lesideales

Cocktails by the pool anyone?!... This was the dream set up of Ed and Sev’s wedding, planned and filmed by us.
It's nearly time to pop that champagne guys 🥂 only 5 sleeps to go!! 😍🎄🎅 What's your favourite Christmas treat? For me Christmas just wouldn't be the same without Champagne (obvs) and yummy canapes, when else is there such an occasion to be so fancy 😉
A big shout out to my gorgeous couple Natalie & Chris in these pictures from their sun filled London e-shoot earlier this year <3 see you in the new year guys!
Merry Christmas Everyone <3
Another screen grab from Ed & Sev’s big day, a wedding we planned and filmed. It was a gorgeous intimate gathering of their dearest and nearest in a sumptuous chateau in South of France.
Did you know?! As well as being a photographer, Mark is also a film maker! And did you know he used to teach English, Media Studies and Film for 15 years, as well as being Head of faculty of Arts! His approach is cinematographic and he is fully equipped with drone, cinema rail, steadicam, etc... This is a screen grab of Ed and Sev’s wedding, that we planned, styled and filmed end of September. Head over to our Facebook page to see their film.

Loving this diffuse sun light...
Another gorgeous sunset in the hills of Provence with Georgia and Florent last summer...
We’re looking back on an amazing 2018 wedding season and one of our favorite parts of the day is definitely sunset! We just love this golden and magical light so much...!! This was Hilary and Max, a lovely American couple, who got married in a magnificent chateau in Auvergne.
We love autumnal weddings! Everything has this magical golden light: the diffused sunbeams, the fields, the candlelit dinners...
We love these fields and how they evolve along the seasons. A perfect backdrop for your couple photos.
How sweet are these two?!
Cosy and warm autumnal wedding evening...
