Today I joined approximately 800,000 others in front of the U.S. Capital Building, filling the streets of Washington D.C., to talk gun reform and remember those lives lost too soon to gun violence. Today I joined as people gathered nationwide to speak out against the complacency and inactivity of our policy makers to actually do something. Today was the beginning of a movement. Today we proved what a real Democracy looks like. Today we demanded attention. Today we demanded change. "The March is not the climax of this movement, it is the beginning. If you think today is good, just wait for tomorrow." -@cameronkasky

we are here for you.
in light of the recent events in Parkland, Apopka High School - just as many other schools throughout the country - organized a solemn protest. I am proud of the student body for participating in the walkout and the students who spoke in front of their community today, it is people like these who will eventually push our legislation to finally make a change.

We need to restrict the purchasing of all arms. Obviously the government won't change the second amendment so the next best thing is to intensify the gun purchasing process. If we do intensify the process, we should make the consumer go through a background check and a monthly fee. Other countries like Japan and the UK have the strictest gonna control laws in the world. If u look at their statistics, they have little to no mass shootings. The citizens of Japan can't own any firearms or swords and very few exceptions are allowed. Citizens are permitted to possess firearms for hunting and sport shooting, but only after submitting to a lengthy licensing procedure. If we, the US, also follow by these laws there won't be any more mass shootings. #guncontrol #guncontrollaws #massshooting #floridashooting2018 #douglasshooting
After hearing about the school walkout this school in Texas threatened to suspend anyone who participated. Our generation has been taught to fight for what’s right but when we try to, things like this happen. -a
I know this isn’t really what my account is about, but I felt obligated to post this here anyway. These are some pictures from a #walkout
that my school, Doctors Charter School, hosted in solidarity with Stoneman Douglas. I live in South Florida, about 30 or 40 minute away from where the shooting at Douglas took place. Please share these pictures if you can. Thank you.

First time I actually can’t sleep thinking about all of this... 🦋
Change is coming. For the 17, for Parkland, for our generation and the next. For me, this didn’t hit close to home— this HIT home. We will never stop moving forward. We will never stop shouting. You can try to bury us, but we will be seeds. Resilient, persistent and mighty. We WILL conquer! Make sure you mark your calendars for March 24th. ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 #NEVERAGAIN @neveragainmsd @marchforourlives
