Time for some Godfrey Ho, yeah, that's right, Godfrey motherfucking ”cut-and-paste” Ho! 😱😱😱
But THE DRAGON’S SNAKE FIST (1981) doesn't contain any ninjas nor a confused looking Richard Harrisson. Nope, this is a South Korean-produced ”rival kung fu schools” period-film, and in the lead we find the frequently Godfrey Ho-collaborating Korean Bruce Lee-impersonator Moon ”Dragon Lee” Kyoung-seok, or Bruce Lei as he sometimes gets credited as. 😏
Ok, but is this movie any good? Well, it’s actually not that bad. Sure, it might be a bit cheap, and definitely a bit weird, but it also has some really nice fight scenes, a pretty captivating pace, and a fairly interesting and comprehensive story. 👍
And that boy Dragon Lee, he sure got some kicks.
But we got some other notable people in the cast. For example, we got a young and cute Yuen Qiu. The lady that after a twenty year absence from the big screen returned to play ”The Landlady of Pig Sty Alley” in Stephen Chow’s KUNG FU HUSTLE (2004). In THE DRAGON’S SNAKE FIST Yuen Qiu however, kicks ass without any kind of humour or CGI. .
And as we are on the subject ”Bruce Lee-impersonators” we also find Chang Yi-Tao portraying some guy with a funny looking mustache called The Invincible Tiger. Chang Yi-Tao is also guilty of making his fare sum of ”bruceploitation” under the alias Bruce Lai. —————————————————————-
