It’s Repeal Day and there’s a new post on the blog.
In case you’re unaware, Repeal Day is the Hallmark Card Holiday of the Booze world and I totally blame @jeffmorgen.
85 years ago today the country regained its senses and ratified the 21stAmendment ending the failed experiment that was Prohibition and across the country cocktail bars will be running special menus in celebration but what are we really celebrating?
The end of Prohibition has had long reaching repercussions on our culture, our laws, what kind of alcohol we consume, and the trade of bartending. Follow the link in the bio to see why celebrating Repeal Day is slightly more complicated than, “Now we can drink again!”
