Wow, such an incredible experience!!! Bachelor Party for one of my best friends @gemini_rehearsal_studios
We’ve been friends since 12 years old for 26 years and he finally got me out to one of his backpacking adventures. Definitely a huge change of pace going from Engines and Racecars to nothing but Nature but I appreciated every bit of it!!
Day 1 = Hiked 6 Miles with packs to #DuckLake
Seemed like it was going to be super tough but after first 30 minutes you forget the 40lb pack is there
Day 2 = No Backpacks but climbed 2 separate peaks each 1,500 ft higher in elevation than where we were at 10,500’ currently. This was by far the most fun and most exciting part of the trip for me. It’s pretty gnarly sitting on top of a peak looking down. I didn’t think it was even possible to get to the top of these and after conquering them it felt great!! After those, we found a nice natural 30’ cliff jump. These are always a little sketchy when you haven’t seen anyone do them before and jumping into Glacier water that’s freezing but it was awesome and refreshing.
Day 3 = Hike back to trail head. This part isn’t a ton of fun but it’s a means to an end so you can explore places few get to see. We went at a pretty good pace on the way back but it’s always easier knowing what your are up against on the way back. Like prerunning first section.
Day 2 was definitely my highlight climbing the peaks and doing Cliff jumps!! #PicoLake #MammothMountain #BachelorParty #CliffJumps
