Melbourne generally has 2 main colours that you see nearly everywhere... Green & grey. And at this time of the year there's lots of grey.
Colours of my childhood except for the added blue of the sea.
What are we going to do now that Australia has voted for the political party that unashamedly favours the economy over our earth & our environment? Headlines enthusiastically stated "climate change doomsayers crushed!" Surely there is an economically viable way to accomplish both?

I'm not one to be very political, but I am one to ask you to vote. Not only on a ballot but every day, with your dollar. Without a doubt, how you spend your money says much much more about your values than what box you fill once every couple years on a piece of paper.
When we spend our money we are supporting ideas, companies, and social systems that either support and uplift other people and the health of the planet or destroy and degrade other people and the planet. 🤔
Thanks to my ability to work from home today, I've had a surprisingly "voting free day". I didn't buy anything online or go out for food...... However, I ran electricity all day!! By paying extra for green energy I vote for a more sustainable future that is independent from fossil fuels.🌿🌿
What did you vote for today with your dollar, either intentionally or passively?
Energy is amazing. ⠀
I had one of those weekends where I felt like I could never catch my breath or shake the exhaustion. Where I felt like I couldn’t help others because I haven’t filled my own cup first. ⠀
Then Monday morning rolled around… I could have stayed in this funk telling myself I have to deal with work, traveling to doctors appointments this week while still playing catchup from being sick last weekend. BUT instead I decided to fill my own freaking cup first. I meditated, read some personal development, did some yoga and although I still physically am not at my best right now my energy had completely turned around from the weekend. And I stepped into the week ready to take on whatever comes my way with joy. ⠀

💥 I made a big decision today and shut down my Etsy shop 💥 I couldn’t feel more relieved!! 😭🙏🏻 I’ve been selling my posters and t-shirts on Etsy for three years and it’s been a decent side hustle + emotionally fulfilling knowing my art is out there in the world. 🌏💫However, I was only able to sell them at reasonable and profitable prices because they were printed online and the website doesn’t say how they’re made. 🙈 which means it’s hurting the environment, underpaid workers or both. 😞🚨 Spending so much time and energy trying to sell my art has severely cut back my ability to have enough time for big projects with purpose, and as much as I love doing sketches and designs, they’re not going to change the future. 🍂 Slim chance but maybe more intentional art projects with more collaborators from my community raising issues and expressions of eco-feminism will tip the scales just a little bit so the UN’s prediction of 140 million climate refugees by 2050 doesn’t become a reality (or worse.) 🌪🌋 I’m recommitting to intersectional integrity which includes anti capitalism, environmental justice, and a life that practices equality, saftey and abundance for all humans on this planet (achieved through centering your impact on marginalized folks first). 👁 I hope you stay with me on this journey and forgive me for my hypocrisy as I move forward. 🙏🏻💘
PS: the fact that the most hits on my store were from searching “aesthetic clothing” is both depressing and hilarious 😂

Happiness turned to me and said - “It is time. It is time to forgive yourself for all of the things you did not become. It is time to exonerate yourself for all the people you couldn’t save, for all of the fragile hearts you fumbled with in the dark of your confusion. It is time, child, to accept that you do not have to be who you were a year ago, that you do not have to want the same things. Above all else, it is time to believe, with reckless abandon, that you are worthy of me, for I have been waiting for you.” @rainbowsalt
Rainy feels. Move your body ☔️☕️
Try opening your heart everyday. On the mat and in life. But know this too: It’s very hard to stay the same person after that. Aligning with your deepest and most cherished values might turn your world upside down, but it only gets you closer to the life you want to live. Happy weekend ✨❤️🙏🏻
