But seriously, sushi is freaking delicious, right? And even if you don’t like it, you at can at least appreciate how pretty it looks when it’s prepared at a restaurant 🍱
Like with most restaurant foods, many ppl freak out when they are supposed to go on a sushi date. Surprisingly, though, there are a lot of “weight loss-friendly” sushi options!
Typically, sushi rolls are the calorie culprits, especially ones that come packed with high-calorie ingredients like avocado, cream cheese, & fried seafood.
If you’re going out to eat sushi, but still want to keep the calories low & protein high, I recommend opting for the sashimi or nigiri. Most options are going to be relatively low in calories and have a high protein-to-calorie ratio.
Now, if you’re really wanting a roll, don’t think they’re totally off limits. Just know that the calories will be higher, and that’ll need factored in to your daily nutrition goals 👌
