Winnipeg would waste no time though, as Mark Scheifele would score just 50 seconds into the overtime to get the Jets the victory. The St. Louis Blues would defeat the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 in overtime to take a 2-0 lead in the season series. The team would trade goal all game, with neither team able to build a bigger lead than one goal. Colorado’s J.T Compher would tie the game in the third to force overtime, but Ryan O’ Reilly would be the hero for St. Louis to give the Blues the win. Colton Parayko would score two goals, while Ryan O’ Reilly would have a goal and a assist for the Blues.
